Something I've always wanted to know was, does changing a players role effect what he does on the field?
Let me explain. I customize and tweak the sliders of my players to the point that they hardly resemble the default for that role. For instance, with a poacher, I may drop his mentality and change his through balls (thusly, making him not quite a poacher).
My question is, do roles have any effect on the players duties outside of what is shown on the sliders?
I play with wingbacks, but if I customized all the sliders and switched his role to fullback, (and sliders shown don't move since I've check marked them) would anything about that players behavior change?
I've noted that sometimes when I switch the roles of my strike partners, they will seem to act different. If I switch poacher to advanced forward, he seems to play wider, and when I change my deep lying forward to target man he tends to look for space more without dropping off as much (despite sliders not changing)
My hypothesis is that some of the classic sliders are still in effect and that changing roles changes those (since the new tactic system was suppose to be simpler)
Any ideas?
