Player/staff attributes

Hey guys.

Does anyone know the relation between player and staff attributes. I'm trying to work out how some players become decent staff members when they retire. Is it to do with mental attributes? Or maybe the hidden stats etc?

Anyone have a clue?

Think it's mostly random. However, some attributes like Determination might carry on. Also hidden attributes should carry on as well. Not sure though.

Yeah I assumed random, but players like Paul Robinson always seem to make good staff members so thought there might be something that carries over...
