Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could tell me how you get a player to tutor another player in this years version.

I've signed Marco Asensio for Real Madrid and I am trying to get James Rodriguez to tutor him since Marco's descriptions says he's a similar player to Rodriguez but when I go into Asensio's training profile I only have 3 options with players who I don't want him to be tutored by.

Are these the only 3 options I have or can I select from a list somewhere?

Only option, if there were more it does offer a drop down

Well that's rubbish isn't it, i mean how can Marcelo possibly be a good tutor, they don't even play in similar positions, i'm guessing it might be to do with his personality or something but still a ridiculous tutor -.-

SI have gotten a lot of reports about this (including from me), and people don't seem to like this new tutoring system all that much. The point of the change is that you're supposed to only get suggestions that will actually be likely to succeed, but personally I've only had 2 successful tutorings. The suggestions don't seem to be good at all.

Funny thing though: SI actually changed this to satisfy users complaining about the old tutoring system saying it too often resulted in a negative experience for the tutor/tutee. So they implemented this change in order to have more successful tutoring experiences. But it hasn't really worked out, at least not in my experience.

Here's some of what the SI guys have said about tutoring:

Because we were finding a lot of people were frustrated by the tutoring sessions that they'd set up failing; we've therefore listened to their feedback and displayed the options most likely to succeed in the 'suitable tutors' section as a way to combat this.

We'll obviously be taking your feedback (and everybody else's) on board with the way it is now as well but the decision was made for the reasons I've outlined.

And just a couple days ago they added this:

We've listened to your feedback and with the latest update there is now an option to 'Request Tutoring' by right-clicking the senior player and selecting 'Speak About > Request Tutoring'

This will give you the option to taylor your tutoring arrangements a lot more. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Tutoring needs to go back to the way it was, it has become too restrictive. I'm finding I can't tutor some players as there are no suggestions available when there obviously is.

Read the last quote of my post :)

I don't get this option when I right click on all the senior players though. What is the criteria that determines if it shows up or not?
