The system to value player this edition doesn't make any sense. I just finished a great season for my team: I won La Liga, I lost the Champions League in the final against Chelsea, and I lost the Copa del Rey in the final against Real Madrid, but I was expected to be the 5th and I dont have a lot of great players.

The point is that one of the good ones (Rasmus Falk), was valued at the end only for 5 M€ after 20 or 25 goals and a high mark too (about 7'50). Anyway I tried to sell him in order to make money (I'm a poor team), and I just received bids really lows. Even with that, I decided to sell because I could to hire Ander Herrera from ManU just for 4 M€, but my surprise was when Rasmus Falk suddenly got valued by 10 M€ when he signed for Getafe!! This problem come up with a lot of players who are doing good seasons in my team: Guille Burdisso, Gio Dos Santos, Lorenzo de Silvestri... no one of them is valued above 4 M€.

Hope this problem will be fixed, because it affects us in terms of gaining money and designing the squad, besides it is not realistic at all.

Salary level and club stature will also affect values. The player'd have gotten a higher salary at the new club, thus inflating his value.

Well its a problem that has been in the series for the past few years so i would not call it a bug. Player reputation/Club reputation/league reputation do matter but the game always finds a way to disadvantage the human user. Transfers are just a mess overall. You would have to be really lucky to cash in on any player for profit. Value of players you sell will increase so you do not get to buy them back after they develop. Poorly done if you ask me. Player form does attract interest from other clubs but it does very little effect on their value if the player is in your team

That's not true in the slightest.
I've brought in and sold players numerous times for much more than I payed and I've sold and resigned players too.
The game doesn't disadvantage you at all, you get what you put in. Player form will increase a players value, it doesn't do so right away though so expect to hold onto them for 18 or so months if you really want to make a large amount from them.
The big obvious example of this from my saves is buying Sergi Roberto for 1mil(I could have waited and got him for half that or even free) then selling him two and a half seasons later for 23mil to Real Madrid. I've done it numerous times across many saves, it's mostly about timing and making sure you have a player who is wanted.

Point taken. You could put it that way to defend the game. But kindly remember that SI are still working on a fix to correct A.I. from bidding well below a players value. Transfer system is not yet balanced. So YES human user is disadvantaged. Of course there are players you can sell for profit but does it always reflect a player on form & quality? No!! Also remember that players & their agents demand bigger contracts frequently if a player is doing well in short period of time so its not fair on the human user to wait two seasons to cash in on a player.

I always find it funny when you experts jump to defend the game in every thread, blame us for lack of knowledge yet when SI roll out a patch the same things you guys claimed were PERFECT are being fixed

Just like to say I sold Amido Balde for 15 million, Virgil Van Dijk for 15 million, Billy McKay for 7.5 million after he signed for 1.2million, Tom Rogic for 7.5 million, Alvaro Vadillo for 4 million after he signed for 2.4 million, Massimo Bruno for 9.25 million after he signed for 6.25 million, Jonathan Dos Santos for 5 million after he signed for 1.8 million, Will Hughes for 6.25 million after he signed for 5.25 million.

I never said it was perfect, yes it requires tweaking and at times is a real pain but you're making it out like it's impossible to sell players and make money. I've done countless saves and have easily reached hundreds of millions in profit from transfers in most of them. Granted they do demand bigger contracts but you can often just turn it down, usually when they're doing this it's often at a point where there is interest in the player so if it is someone you plan to offload it's ideal to do so anyway. You don't have to wait two seasons, about 18 months I find is about right for most players but you can easily cut a deal earlier than that if need be.
Take yacob at west brom, AI sells him for 10mil most saves, I play him for a season and he wants to leave. I can extend his contract and keep him for another season whilst he's unhappy or sell him right away. I chose to sell him right away instead of keeping him along and got 4mil more than the AI ever does. I could've chose to keep him and hopefully change his mind and get 20mil for him a year later.

I'm no expert at all, just more willing to accept things than others, in a twist of irony you could say the same about you, got left with a bitter taste and now choose to attack the game and SI at every chance in most threads.

Yeah, I haven't too much problems with selling players. A lot does depend on player form, your club stature and player salary. Take for example - In my Soton save, I got Vitinho on a free in the second season. In the 3rd season, I sold him for 70 Million $ to PSG. I got Tom Ince for 5.25 Million $ in my first season. Now in the 4th season, clubs are bidding around 50 Million $ for him. I signed Jonathon dos Santos on a free, and sold him 2 seasons later for 25 Million $. Heck, after the first season with Manchester United, Nani, who was injured for half the season, was obtained by Chelsea for 80 Million $. So it's not impossible to make profits. A lot depends on how much playing time a player gets, his salary expectations and the like. Like, I haven't been able to sell Adam Lallana for his value itself, because he gets rather less playing time for me. This is realistic.

However, what is broken is buying youngsters. That is something that needs to be fixed. Buying a regen will generally cost you around 60-70 Million for a 16-18 year old.

I am not saying that we cannot sell any player for a big amount. The problem is that it is not realistic at all to win La Liga (one of the most important competitions), to play 2 finals, and at the eand of the season, the most important players are valued in 5 M€.

That's all. I know that you can always hire the same playes (Balante, Roberto, etc. etc.) not too expensive, and after a couple of years gain money with them. Ok, but that's not the point. The point is that in "normal conditions", in real life, I should have received important bids for at least 3 players (Rasmus Falk, Odion Ighalo and Gio dos Santos). And away from this, their value was like a joke!

Kevin de Bruyne was valued 9M at the start, I won EPL and CL and his value at the end of the season was 35.5M. He alsosigned a new contract. A Player's value shoots high with his wages, but it also decreases potential buyers.
