Player will not negotiate in new game

Hoping someone can off help as this is becoming very frustrating.

Basically I started a game as Swansea made some decent signings and the pick of the bunch was Nono, the young Spaniard tipped as the next Xavi. He was fantastic for me, played most games and progressed well in training.

In the end I finished 5th with Swansea, qualifying for the Europa. My save file corrupted after a game crash and so I'm wanting to start again however upon starting a new game, I immediately tried to sign Nono and although bids are accepted he isn't even interested in negotiating at all. Hoping anyone can shed some light on this because I'm hoping I'll be able to sign him again

I think the problem may just be that he isn't interested in signing for your club at the time. It's unlucky, but there's not much you can do and I don't think it's a bug/glitch.
