Hi guys, I just wonder why world class players in Fm are so much more expensive than their actual value ? For ex: Wesley Snejder value is around 30 -40 mil both in real life and in game. But the game demands at least 100 mil for him. This is pure bullshit, Real madrid demands 228 mil for Ronaldo, Barca demands 350 mil for Messi. Wtf ??? I figured that all top players are 5-7 times more expensive than the value show under their name. Robben 130 mil, Ribery 80 mil.
If the player's value is 50 mil then he should be around that price. What the purpose of that f**** value number if it's so far from the fact ? And why the players so stupidly expensive ? It's basically impossible to buy a world class players at his peak unless you are willing to pay a Ronaldo's amount of money. And based on the financial system in the game, you can only afford world class players if you are rich as Real, Barca or have sugar daddy as Chelsea, Man city. Even Man U is poor as ****.

Well, maybe the point is we're not actually 'allowed' to buy those kinds of player to keep the game interesting. And at real life of course players like Messi or Ronaldo won't be sold.

It is sometimes really annoying when the price isn't the same as real life or their quality. So, instead of buying superstars, I make them myself with the club and it works good!

Do you sell your players for market value,or do you try to jack up the price?
Do you set an insane price for players you don't want to sell, when other clubs approach you for them?

There you go.

The clubs demand this kind of money because they don't want to sell the player. Would you sell your key player for his value? Didn't think so.

Yup, well said by thunderblood..

As others have said, clubs will put a redicilous pricetag on key players to scare you off. As I will do with my own players.
Also, the remaining time of their contract plays some part in pricetag vs. actual value. Buying a player who currently have three or four years left on his contract, will of course be more expensive.

They bumb the price up further if you're in the same league and further still if you're a rival. Barcelona bough Phil Jones for £13.5m At arsenal I had to offer £45 before they'd even open negotiations - and even then it was at 60-odd million.....

You are right in regards to Sneijder, it wouldn't take 100m to prize him away, not even close.

But with players like Ronaldo and Messi, it is understandable as they are practically unsellable.

I wish there was a way for SI to sort out some of the ridiculous demands in their game, but sadly I don't think it is possible for some players and not others.

If somebody offer 3 times the value of my players I would sell right away, key or not, unless he is hot prospect. The best deals I get are 2 times at most though. I'm not stupid to the point of keeping Snejder or Robben despite a 100 mil offer. And I believe nobody in real life does.
But the game, nope, as long as it's a key player, you need a 5-7 times offer. I think in real life, unless it's a hot youngster, 2 times the actual amount is already a very impressive offer, 3 times the actual amount is a deal only come from heaven.

I can assure you that with players like CR7 and Messi in real life you would need to pay the clause to get them (1.000.000.000) so it's not as unrealistic.

What I hate is that when I buy medium quality players I get asked for a lot of money, but when I sell them they barely pay their value
