players getting out of position

hey

i noticed i concede a lot of goals due to my defenders going out of position to close down players and then getting caught out. how can i stop this. i was thinking of changing player instructions to close down only their areas and the fbs to just a click before close down own half. would that help fix this?

Yes that would work.

Also help your defence out by putting your midfield to closing own own area only, this means they will not chase around.
