I took on Burnley in the championship and have just finished my first season winning the championship with 93 points and scoring 97 goals.
This unexpected win was due to:

Loaning: Federico Macheda ST(Man Utd) 39 apps 24 goals
Julien Faubert WB/M (R) (West Ham) 47 apps 15 assits
Aaron Ramsay MC (Aresnal) 21 apps av rating 7.45

Buying: (club gave me £12m for being second at the start of december)
Vaclav Kadlec ST (Sparta Prague) 18 apps 15 goals av rating 7.58 £2m.

The promotion meant that the board will offer up to £25m for transfers in the next season.

i was able to get:

Stephen Defour DM/MC (Standard Liege) £7.5m
Yohan Cabaye DM/MC (LOSC Lille) £6m
Mohamadou Diarra DM/MC (Real Madrid) FREE
Michael Owen ST (Man Utd) FREE

and the best buy ..............................

Neymar ST (Santos) £16m

Anyone starting with burnley good luck !

I wouldn't say that it was unexpected as you're Burnley, I could relate to that if you said Scunthorpe.

Good signings though.

What about if it was Coventry? (Im winning trophies now too :D)

OP - good signings, owen is dodgey though isnt he?

Sounds like you've found the easy loan signings there quite nicely :)

Only real problem is players like Ramsey, Macheda and Faubert won't be willing to go for teams who aren't really promotion contenders etc. Doubt they'd go to Portsmouth etc.

Possibly ;) Owen good signing for free.

I signed him for coventry... he had 6 goals in 40 apps (played him as poacher) - with ramsey - balotelli - sheffers - wilshire providing the set ups... still hopeless lol

get Garra Dembele mate hes suppose ta be class in the prem and only cost like 1mil hes a striker btw (H)

is owen anygood for you, he never seemd to score when i got him for southampton and that was in the championship?
