Players ratings disappearing

Hi im just about to start my league season and when i started my game my strikers and wingers and goalie had 3 and a half stars but now a week before the season starts theyre on 3 stars why thats according to my assistant john murtough

This happened to me once on FM10, when I got Port Vale promoted half my squad went from 3-4 stars to 2, even 1 stars. I think it was because they were not good enough for that league.:S

Could it be down to the quality of the staff? Ie If they're an excellent judge on PAand PP, they may think less of lower league players? I'm not explaining this right am i lol. But what Potta said is def the case-had the same thing happen to my squad too

They may not be good enough to achieve the aims you set yourself this season

but to me the squad is good enough for this division at least ive got the likes of king gyan,liam obrien,ngo baheng,forfana,yao and marc richards just to name a few and i drew against man city and tottenham in friendlys but lost against celtic 2-1
