Playing / Scout Report Question

I haven't been playing FM2013 for a huge amount of time and am still in my first career mode, currently playing as York City.

I am playing 433 with 2 wingers and a Target Man up front. So my question is:

My current Left Winger is George Boyd, a 28 year old left winger with what I thought were good stats... But looking at my scout report, they only rate him as 2.5 star

Looking through my scouts reports at other Left wingers, they have listed Bertrand Traoré as a 5 star option for my team he is only 19 but his stats are horrible!

Is it just because he is a prospect for the future that makes my scouts rate him as a 5 star buy or am I missing something because I think in comparison to Boyd... Traore sucks...

The star rating on the profile/overview screen is just the reccomendation, so that takes into account potential or current ability, depending on the age of the player. So in this case it is just because of his potential

Oh and I would ignore the scouts, only use them as a rough estimate of potential. Judge players' ability youself going by their attributes
