I will be more helpful than that. Currently 2nd season with Southampton. My first season finished 2nd and won the CC cup.
I use Raik's perfect 4-3-3 DM for the Utd, City games and most away games and woodys high scoring for the rest, but onto the players. Buy over 48 months for a start.
Must haves
Attack=Darwin Quintero - guarenteed over 20 goals a season
Maicon - always offered for 2.7 million
Niang, carlos fierra,

Midfield=Bresson - 1 million - go get him!
andrea bertolacci can normally be had for free

Wingers
Narsingh - 5 million assist machine right wing. Tadic on the left side 7.5 million

Defence=Bassong on loan - no fee and half wages
Rafael Toloi - 3.2 mill. Craig Dawson 1.4 mill
Marco Calderoni - left back, wont get a great scout report but a steal for 1 .1 million

Goalkeeper Julian Sperioni 1.5 mill will do a job, but look for better loans. Aphonse arelo for the future

Loans, loans, loans! They will save you in the first season.
Fernando and Casemiro, always offered out on loan

If you have to spend big, its worth splashing out in a good defender.
Jan Vertonghen, Mapou Yango Mbwia will cost you 8-10 million and are soooo worth it
