Just started reading, doing brilliant as usual mate! Think you'll be able to get into the play offs if you're not too unlucky with injuries.

Yeah and hopefully a bit of investment in january or a little help from Chelsea, Im terrible with injuries and they all seem to come at once and all in same position like 4 of my strikers missing the start of the season. Thanks for reading.

Injury Plagued Francis Jeffers Picks Up Another Injury In His First Reserve Match Back From The Previous Injury

October Fixtures

View attachment 397193

The month started so well with a win over recently relegated Millwall thanks to a very late Grainger penalty and then Centre back Canavan scored 3 goals from set pieces for a win in the Cup before we went on to lose to Peterborough and Crawley and ended the month with a hard fought draw at Bradford with key strikers Hitchcock and Parkin getting the goals after Bradford took a very early 2 goal lead.

League Table

View attachment 397188

Thats more like it down in 10th this month as the league starts to shape up but a mid table finish will do me fine as we were touted for relegation, We have a game in hand and if we win that we could move up to as far as 5th place and be right back in the Promotion race.

Player Stats

View attachment 397187

Our only player to top any of the charts is Hourihane who has been in fine form in getting sent off 3 times already this season with his most recent 3 game ban he has missed 8 games through suspension already and were only in October!

10th is pretty good, keep it up.

November Fixtures

View attachment 397141

So not a brilliant start to the month as Mansfield knock us out of the FA Cup before recently relegated Middlesborough beat us comfortably in the league. We then struggle to draw with Burton our old League 2 rivals before having a little joy by winning in the Paint Trophy Semi Final V Crawley thanks to another Parkin goal. After that our form is a bit up and down as we win 2 more league matches and lose another 2 with a highlight being the 4-1 win over Swindon in which Hitchcock got a brace.

League Table

View attachment 397140

We sit comfortable in mid table and i think after the Christmas period and the Winter Transfer window our season could go either way, Were currently only 5 points off second place but if our form dips dramatically only 7 points off the relegation places.

Taylor Fletcher Set For Contract Extension

View attachment 397132

When i saw this i quickly dropped him into the reserves, he has been terrible for us so far this season and is yet to score a goal in his 14 games. He has done nothing to deserve a 1 year contract extension on his near 4k a week contract so will hopefully be got rid of in the Winter transfer window.

We Beat Portsmouth On Penalties To Make the Paint Trophy South Final At Wembley

December Fixtures

View attachment 397130

So we start a busy December with a 1-0 win over Rotherham before getting thrashed by Tranmere, After that we beat Portsmouth in the cup match but then came back down to earth with Promotion chasing Carlisle putting 3 past us with no reply. We did better against Crewe thanks to goals from my golden oldies SWP and Parkin after Crewe took an early 2 goal lead.
I then got the perfect Christmas present with 2 wins in the league only 3 days apart with Harvey getting a brace in the first before SWP was on the scoresheet again scoring a very late winner against Leyton Orient.

So thats the good news hears the bad.

Hitchcock Breaks Leg! Out For 7 Months

So with Taylor Fletcher and Jeffers on their way out and now this injury i have only been left with Parkin as my only main striker up front thank god the transfer window will be open for a couple of weeks before our next match.

League Table

Thanks to ending the year with those two impressive wins we move up to 8th place only a couple of places outside of the play off places and on equal points with 6th placed MK Dons.

right up next is the Winter Transfer window and it went a lot better than expected considering the money we had available to us.

Good to see you still on a roll! Shame about injuries though. If I was you I would take FULL advantage of the loan and free agent market.

Struggling with the loan deals as no one wants to come to us even if i have unrealistic transfers selected,Will post the winter transfer window in a moment and it went quite well

Winter Transfer Window

Players Out

Gary Taylor-Fletcher Contract Mutually Terminated

View attachment 396892

So i let Boco, Morgan, Blizzard and Taylor-Fletcher all leave on frees as we sort out their contract terminations so that i get a bit of a wage budget to play with and bring a couple of players in.

Players In

So first off i brought in two youngsters on loan, one was a young centre back Chelsea gave me for the rest of the season called Conroy and the other was DMC Diego Poyet who should be a cut above the rest at this level but hes only here for 3 months.

View attachment 396891View attachment 396890

So with 2 strikers leaving and Hitchcock out for the rest of the season i brought in two experienced Premier League strikers in Andy Johnson and Craig Bellamy who can hopefully fire us up the league.

Andy Johnson - ST

View attachment 396889

Craig Bellamy - ST

View attachment 396888

Now my final signing of the winter transfer window is a former Plymouth Argyle legend who when i had the chance to sign him on a free i had to bring him back to the club.

Dave Norris - DMC

Well you could say the new signings have gelled well, We win an impressive 4 league matches out of 5 with the likes of Bellamy and Johnson on fire! Andy Johnson smashed in 5 goals in his first 6 games and even SWP feels like a new player now hes got Johnson and Bellamy with him.
Next month is the big one as we face a couple of the big promotion teams like Middlesborough and play MK Dons 3 times including the Paint Trophy South Final

League Table

View attachment 396879

Oh yes those big wins this month have pushed us right up into play off contention! Automatic promotion is out of the question i think but we now need to cement a play off spot in the next few weeks.

Plymouth Argyle Set To Face Middlesbrough in The Paint Trophy Final

View attachment 396820

Feb Fixtures

View attachment 396819

MK Dons are no match for us as we beat them 3 times in 2 weeks each time by the same scoreline of 2-0 and also gain a credible draw against table topping Middlesbrough before getting brought down to earth by recently relegated Millwall who chipped 3 in past us. We ended the month drawing with play off rivals Crawley after they went 2-0 up early on a change in tactics and 3 subs saw a change in fortune as we grab a point off them and stay above them in the table.

League Table

View attachment 396818

So we have dropped down a place but we are managing to cling on to a play off spot thanks to better goal difference but more importantly we have a game in hand on most of our play off rivals.

Player Stats

View attachment 396817

Hourihane hasnt added to his 3 early red cards but left back Purrington has been steadily collecting yellow cards. The current top scorer is Mark Beck who some may remember from my Dundee United save was always banging in the goals for Hearts i think.

March Fixtures

View attachment 396794

A good win in the league to start the month with wingers Purrington and SWP getting the goals against Bradford before we lose easily to Promotion favourites Peterborough. We then managed a couple of decent wins with late goals against Sheff Utd leading to an undeserved 3-0 scoreline before Bellamy gets the only goal against Coventry.
We then yet again struggle to break down rivals Burton with Parkin getting an equalizer and a deserved point for us, We ended the month on a low though losing badly against relegation threatened Swindon.

League Table

View attachment 396792

Despite some indifferent form we played our game in hand and our currently lying back in 5th place 2 points clear of 7th with Peterborough the big surprise as they hit a slump in form after being in second for most of the season they are now only a point ahead of Millwall

Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final V Middlesbrough

View attachment 396766

Well it was a fiery match with both sides between them commiting 37 fouls with Middlesbrough having a handful of players get yellow carded and someone sent off. They had a lot of better chances than us but we managed to hold out and take them to penalties with recent youth intake player Andy Clarke scoring the winning penalty to secure my second trophy as Plymouth Argyle manager.
