FC Porto 3 points away from the title
The dragons may grant their 25th title and, more important,
at their biggest rival's stadium, Estadio da Luz, in the 3rd April 2011. Due to the relevance of this game, various streams will be available in this thread, if you want to follow the most important game in Liga ZON Sagres.

PORTO WINS IT
porto_campeao_2011.jpg

After a 2-1 win at Estadio da Luz, home for Porto's biggest rival, the northern team granted their 25th title in their history, and had that special pleasure of celebrating in front of Benfica supporters. In the end of the game, just at the beggining of Porto's celebrations, Benfica turned the stadium's lights off and turned the watering systems on. Despite all this, nothing could stop Villas-Boas and his team's party, as they get back the title they lost to Benfica last season.

CONGRATULATIONS PORTO, LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

I demand for them to pay the sprinkler they wrecked.

Wow, Porto really owned the league :O

Unfortunately my friend, that's the pure and inconvenient truth (for me). They deserved the title totally. I hope that next year, along with a better thread comes a better Benfica and really better Sporting

I demand for them to pay the sprinkler they wrecked.

*Like* (the tool I miss the most since the new layout)
Me too ahah. But I think they would say that Falcao didn't see the sprinkler because of the blackout :)

wonder if porto will win the europa league and do a double

NOTE
I haven't been updating the thread for a while because my schedule is currently filled with schoolwork. I'm sorry to those who visit this thread looking for news and don't find nothing new for 2 weeks.
However, the fact that I'm not able to do Advanced Posts in my default browser (G Chrome) is also a reason. Besides, that function in Firefox is odd. In fact, all the site is looking strange when I visit it using Firefox. I'm not putting the blame, accusing or criticising anyone. I'm just noticing some fails which make my life updating this thread a bit difficult.
Thank you for all who still follow this. I promise that, next year, the thread will be way much better.

lol Porto 5-1 Villarreal, that's pretty wow

I will never say it but... 'nuff said.

Here's one agnostic praying soul. Hoping, but not expecting. In all honesty.

LAST GAMES ARRIVING...

The 3 last updates on the Portuguese football news (Liga ZON Sagres Last Fixture, Europa League final and Portuguese Cup final) will be made with the 2011/12 thread new format.

It seems like the season is over, but there is still a lot to fight for...
  • Will Porto finish the league undefeated, almost beating Jimmy Hagan's Benfica?
  • Will Braga finish in the podium for the 2nd year in a row? Will Sporting be out of it?
  • Will Porto win its 4th European competition (3rd in the 21st century)? Or will Braga write its name in the history books winning their first top European cup?
  • Will Porto make the double?

Want to have a glimpse of the Portugal 2011/12 thread?
Wait for days 13, 18 and 22 May to find out more...

Aww, wish I'd watched this from the start, really like Sporting CP.
