Im having huge problems creating chances during the last 20 or so minutes while losing. AI seem to be able to create quite a few when in the same position but when im one goal down with 20-25 to go the game just runs through with no highlights whatsoever. One would think that if you go "Overload" and push your entire team up there would be, if not goal scoring opportunities for you, then atleast for the opposing team. But almost without exception nothing happens.

Anyone else struggling with this or perhaps have tips or suggestions how to succesfully (or more so atleast) go all out attack when chasing?

Opposition settles for defensive mentality when they take the lead and you go all out attack. Their aim is to not let you score, or maybe score one or two on counter. It's hard to break down teams. Going overload when chasing has never worked for me, whenever I've managed to score one goal by this method, opposition scores two on the counter. :/

I've heard that sitting deeper and playing on the counter works in these situations, I know that I'm going to give that a go myself

Ok, thanks. I'll try that too. Already using "Drop deeper" i'll try going much deeper and using counter attack mentality. I'd appreciate if you posted in this thread if you manager to accomplish anything.

no if the opposition have taken lead they will now sit deeper and will play counter ,so this wont work .u need to make sure u pump enough players forward as u are already loosing

i will say paly till half same as u have been ,than second half u need to overload ,rigid and high d line with offside .keep 3 defense system and pump players forward

untick if u have retain possession and shorter passing
tick direct passing
high tempo

what i do is i always make a extra tactics similar to the tactics i am playing with but totally attacking so it will become fluid with my other tactics and i can than use it when needed

Ignore me mate and listen to Jassar, he seems to know his ****.
Im going to take his advice to

Pushing your players forward is one way to do it.

If the opponent is going to drop deeper and look to conserve their lead by maintaining a strong defence there is another option. Be patient, maintain possession, and look to break them down. If they are standing off you can add "run at defence" to the more possession based shouts to allow your more skilled and creative players to look to use the extra space to cause some panic and make some openings.

Going route one and just pumping the ball forward tends to only work if you have physically dominate players up front who can win arial battles with the opponent's centre backs. Otherwise the opposition will just knock the ball right back at you.

Some good advice, thanks a bunch. Ive usually gone "Overload" and "Push much higher up" but never really created anything. Will definitely make a separate tactic for these kind of situations with Jassars advice in mind.
