i think i posted something similar to yours in the previous page or so. its time to tweak your tactics cos you've been figured out. although some my disagree, i seriously feel that we cannot stick to the same tactic for more than 2 seasons from my observations and so i tweak it once in two seasons. eg. rigid to fluid or something like that, though its not necessary to change your formation (A)I am so ridiculously frustrated and fed up with football manager!

as some of you know, im currently doing a Notts County and doing quite well with it too. Just started playing my second season in the premiership, with what i think is a good team. But no matter who i sign or how i play them the same results are coming out and i really cant be bothered with it anymore.
you play against the same players and they rip you to bits even though there ****!
My players are just standing there watching them walk past. All the big teams rip me to bits! i can only really dominate a game against really **** lower league teams in the cup. Im conceeding goals left right and centre, and my player go through one on one and hit the keeper every time. Whereas every person i play against slot it in the corner.
SURELY this isnt to tactics. Its just this infuriating game, that i am fast falling out of love with. But only because its stressing me out lol
Someone tell me how to stop this or summet, cus im starting to give up lol

I need to tell somebody this as I have made silly mistake.
I am Bristol City end of my 1st season finished 7th 4 points of the playoffs.
So I thought that I need to sign some players that will add depth as much as quality so noticed that Callum Davenport was released - sign him up bigged him up in my press conference, click on him injured until Jan 2011. (6)

Try offering him a different job, he probably doesn't have any interest in being a youth coach.
I'm going to make my first post a moan. The main reason being because I enjoy the game and thus get increasingly frustrated with it every year. It just keeps getting more and more complex game after game, complexity isn't necessarily a bad thing, but over complexity is. I really don't have much interest in a lot of the features. Football Manager stopped being as fun to play after 2007, IMO that was the last really enjoyable game; sure, if you had the best players you would be certain to win most of your matches regardless of the tactic. But I liked that. I understand SI's aim of getting the game towards being the most realistic experience of football management, but I think it's got to the point where realism is taking over the enjoyment of actually playing it. Now not only can you be a manager in it's truist form, you can also experience the same levels of frustration and bitterness that they do. What's next? Soon are we going to have to be checking our business phone for missed calls from players, chasing up secretaries for late cups of coffee and all the other (real) yet dull tasks that no one really gives a **** about? I prefered it when the whole enjoyment of the game came from building up a team over the seasons that you know would win most matches, that was still exciting for me and I can't be the only one.
My main gripes with 2010 are the fact that you have to technically be a tactical mastermind to get any kind of result, scoring from corners is practically non-existant however conceding from them every to every other game is a common occurance. Set pieces, currently there have been 15 goals from free kicks in the premiership, the month is february, 12 teams have yet to score a DFK. Injuries. Must be getting at least one or more every week from challenges in matches. It hardly seems worth spending your cash on the players you've been waiting to add to your roster anymore, as unless you are tactically spot on they are unlikely to perform or do justice to their stats (going back to an earlier point), all this, ALL THIS (there's more I just can't be bothered to type it) just adds up to slightly tainting the whole reason I used to play the game..
I still play FM2010 and despite all my moaning, I will probably always continue to buy and play the next installment, but I can't help thinking that it's just not going to be the game it used to be ever again.

I'm managing Liverpool and in my last game, BSP side Altrincham came to Anfield in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
Whilst the fans want me to get to at least the final of the this competition, I thought I could use a few fringe players in this match- after all, Altrincham are 4 tiers below me and my reserves can't be that bad!
Anyway, what was frustrating was this- 26 shots on goal and I didn't score until the 75th minute and that was only after I pulled Kuyt off the bench! Also, Altrincham had no shots whatsoever! I was really fearing the humiliation of being so unbelievably dominant but then having to face a replay.
But it was ok, and let's hope a good draw in the 4th round : )

Heart breaking. They scored from a set-piece, who'd have thunk it? <)
For me, Man City is my biggest frustration. I mean Mark Hughes is not this good in real life, and what made Sports Interactive think that Man City can win everything in this game? What surprised me even more is that the big four sucks hard. This is just not realistic (except for liverpool, i guess). I've been trying many different tactics against Man City but ended up losing most of the time. Can anyone give me a good tactic? I don't want to get frustrated even more and quit FM because of this

I find it so frustrating when I set all my players long shots to rarely, even though some of them even have 17 or 18 in the long shot attribute, but my team fires at least 10 long shots per match, all of target, and about 65% of the goals scored against me are long shots though they mostly come from players with 10-15 in the long shots attribute, I find it very frustrating

I havent had many problems yet to be honest. But has anyone else ever been involved in a transfer battle with other teams, all offers accepted, then you dont get to negotiate a deal with the player, he signs for one of the other teams without contract terms being discussed. Very irritating.

6 games in premier league so far as m city won 5 out of 6 get to 3rd round of league cup should be easy win to city as against sunderland. 1-0 to city 1-1 ft. ETFT 3-1 to sunderland. ffs!!!!
Had enough of FM2010
I have been a mad cm fan since the good old days of champ man italia on the amiga. I have bought every game since but im now at the stage were im losing interest so fast and doubt if i will buy anymore.
FM 2010 has great depth,great thought has gone but the game is too hard. I know people want it realistic but we play the game for fun in our spare time. I have tried everything from tactics to players and still have no sucsess. I really feel like we have gone backwards since the good old days. CM 03/04 was great game but the latest installment just isnt enjoyable results are unrealistic even if u have best players u still lose to silly scores.
