Losing a game you dominate. And by dominate I mean, 67% possesion, 25 shots 20 on target....

I lost a game 2-0, they had 2 shots, both long shots, both stunner's of goals from 30+ yards, both from a player with a long shots rating of 8.

WHY....Please tell me WHY...
i believe most of us will be seeking answers for this question as well, since it's already happened in almost 40% of my games. :(

i'm quite new to the game so this question may be stupide but Is it normal that Torres, Rooney, Ibrahimovich only score less than 5% on one vs one?

One on Ones seem quite hard in this game, true, but less than 5% (less than 1 in 20 attempts) sounds a bit over the top.
Either you're extremely unlucky or you're over exaggerating.
But yeah, it is frustrating....

I keep the note and do the math after one whole season to get the 5% value. I ask my striker to learn "lob gk" and "round gk" and they succed. I notice that they do try to lob but I have never seen them round the gk. Should I have done something wrong?

Something I see so often and really annoys me is "That was his first goal of the season!" or "That was his first goal for *oppositionname*!" when someone scores against me. They always get their first goals against me, even if it's the last game of the season "That was his first goal of the season!" haha XD

I have played this game for a few years now and i have always been the crappest manager ever. I thought i was doing quite good in 1st season finished 4th with Man city. Now in second season doing rubbish and just got 5 straight defeats against : Ipswich, Wolves, Stoke, Birmingham and Hull!!
How am i supposed to ever get good at this game? I'll never be good..

I find a lot of times, I get a young team into the PRM and in my first season I play amazing matches, often ending up qualifying for European Tournaments, and then the season after, with very little changes and even better developed players I completely under-perform.

Almost like it takes my team a season to realize they are not supposed to play that well....

sound very much like real life. see ipswich a few years back. also more recently reading, both performed very well in their first season, only to slowly decline and eventally get releagted. hull are a very recent example to some extent.

and dont forget teams who collapsed altogether after making the big time, like norwich (league 1) bradford (league 2)

i think it may have something to do with certain types of players getting a large confidence boost when playing in the prem for the first time, but after that they think they have made it and start to become complacent.

Hi peeps! I'm managing Southampton currently and was just promoted to the BPL. I find it somehow difficult to sign quality players even tho they are transfer listed. Either they demand a higher wage than i can offer or they just think my club is not good enough for them.. Meaning i can only sign those youngsters or average/slightly good players? Hmm.. What should i do?

this is a section for posting your frustrations, not asking how to sign players for southampton.

just becasue you are in the premier league doesnt mean you can sign quality. your clubs reputation is still quite small. win some matches, try to finish as high as possible in the league to raise your rep. a good cup run will help too.

try the im looking for a player thread. or who should i buy/sell? for player advice

Hmm okay thx mate. Sorry to have posted in the wrong section.

Here's a brand new frustration, and it happens a lot to me regardless of tactics or players:

Ball gets cleared forward. Player A stands midfield, roughly where the ball will land. Opponent A is close to Player A, and makes a run for it. But wouldn't you know it, Player B, a defender, three times as far away starts to run towards the ball while Player A just looks on. Off course Opponent A gets the ball, runs past Player B, completely out of position and clear through on goal.

how highly rated in the following stats is player b?

anticipation
concentration
decisions
off the ball
positioning

Oh boy do I ever hate that.
At times it seems like the other team's strikers are thinking "Should I go out and score a goal today? Nah....I think I wait until we play Micky's team."

Usually pretty good stats. Can't tell from memory, but it happens to youngters just as much as to seasoned veterans.

Here's a new one:

Extra time:
At times I swear the ref wants to give the other team every chance he can to score an equalizer. No clear chances in ET, ball in the oppositions half, yet the clock goes on and on untitl they get another chance.
Can't even count how many times I conceded in the 5th or 6th minute of what was supposed to be 2 minutes extra time.

And on the other end, just around the extra time mark, I get games brought to an end while a clear scoring chance is going on. Or my personal favorite: Final whistle when I was due to have a corner kick.

the fact about draws

1) We always get picked at the very end of the draw

2) Whenever it's a competition like the FA Cup or a 1000 team created cup, I always seem to draw a team in the Premier League/Liga BBVA or a team in the Championship/Liga Adelante

So then i end up losing in the first round if i am a team like Betis/Derby
:S

Then we lose valuable money, get a bad reputation or even get sacked

Well, I can't say I always get drawn last, but in one save I had drawn Tottenham in consecutive seasons both in the Carling as well as the FA cup - different rounds, but it's still frustrating to get kicked out of the cup four times in two years by the same team....

yeah i really hate when someone scores their first goal against me it really grinds my gears

Recently I have Buffon (yes the famous gk) just goes out to clear the ball outside box. It's what any gk would do when the def line is too high and opponent tries a through ball right? However, he IS too quick, which means he reaches the ball when it was on air, way outside box, way far from opponenet lone striker. So what he does? He tries to head it.... to the striker. Each time I think "why couldnt you run abit more slowly and kick the ball instead?" I never have an answer

haha...I was playing as Villa vs. Arsenal in the FA Cup...in injury time and I was 1-0 up and Arsenal had the ball just outside my box then Guzan starts running off towards the touchline and Fabregas passed the ball in from 18 yards with no keeper in sight... All I can think is that there was an Arsenal fan sitting behind him and blew a whistle so Guzan thought the game was over. ;-(

As man city with my all conquering side, smash liverpool 5-0 final day of season, then thump real madrid champions lague final 4-0, then in FA cup final 0-0 against newcastle ( still in chamiponship) and loose on penalties..how does that make sense..?
then as udinese first match in charge against inter, and the pre match predictions says 'i can see these two teams cancelling each other out'..i end up loosing 5-2, and then it was all like 'this is the most suprising result i've ever seen..' which is crazy, as i'm predicted to finish 8th and them first...argh..
my last frustration is about player attributes...they make me go crazy..some players have like 8 long shots, but then score loads of long distance goals..and then a player like alexis sanchez, has finishing of 10, but scored 27 goals in a season for me, and scored far more one on ones than someone like villa when he has 18 finishing...what is with that...
