Was on to retain the F.A Cup for the third successive season and then this.. Hamsik with two 25 yarders..
 
2 of my key players at Alloa hating me still in December for not including them in my Europa League squad. For a start it wasnt even the proper squad, was when youre allowed to change it slightly during the qualifiers, secondly I didnt have the space to include them as I didnt have enough players trained by the club and thirdly because I included them in my squad for the group stages and theyve been regulars ever since
 
Just a quick moan really, the post match analysis you get after a match in the summary must be based on idiots like Mark Lawrenson or Alan Hansen because they can be tad unrealistic in my opinion.

I play as Manchester United and we usually start our season against the likes of Bolton or Wolves and after drawing (widely considered a bad result) and the post match analysis says they expected the game to be a draw anyway!!! Talk about thin grasp of reality!

Then i get a creditable draw away at Spurs and they say we were expected to beat them comfortably! Expected to win yes, comfortably? not a chance!

Wolves, why are they so hard to beat?

And why do Bristol City always get promoted first season? They're expected around mid-table, just like real life where they finished 10th. :S
 
Fans getting annoyed at me losing 2-0 away to Roma who literally had 6 wordclass players...im Alloa fresh out of division one after turning pro a year earlier (got into Europa via finishing runner up in Scottish Cup)

lil bit, had to overcome serveral annoying obstacles as well

first my Dundee U game stopped working after 6 months for no reason, no error message etc just wouldnt load, this was my first game back on FM

Secondly, my HD is full so my player histories corrupt, not a big deal you might think but it caused histories to reset every season (which is annoying) and for some players to generate histories from 00-2012 which clicking on thos eplayers made the game lag by 30 seconds each click on them.

Anyway....started my final attempt with Alloa my hometown club. Got promoted from div 2 in first season then spent 5 seasons in division one including losing the title on the last day before finally turning pro and owning the league next season. Ive also reached the league and fa cup finals, losing both. Currently in Europa League (need a win v Bronby away to have a chnace of going through groups) and im mid table in my first SPL season

Sounds like you're doing pretty well. I went Cowdenbeath a while back and it wasn't that bad, suprisingly :P
 
Brazil Vs Uruguay.. Surely only one winner? I promptly got the sack for "awful recent performances".. Rub salt into my managerial wound FM, thanks..

I hate it when you are losing late in the game and the ball goes out for a corner to the opposition and you want the game just to hurry up, because they take so long to take the corner (to go and fetch the ball, then bring it to the corner flag and finally kick it)!
 
Hello to everyone!
I thought fm 10 was a fantastic game at first but as i got on playing i discovered several flaws.
1.i haven got a single offer for a player after six seasons even though many big teams are interested.The only way to sell is to offer a player yourself.Also i m setting an asking price and attract interest but when i offer the player i get a much lower bid.Fortunately this only happens for the more expensive players.
2.After six seasons there are not so many great players any more.The other teams ask for huge amounts for a three star player like wijnaldum(15 M euros)while they offer 7 M at most for players like luis suarez.Now wijnaldum is the sixth most expensive LAM in the game!Jovetic is a 4 star player and worth almost 35 M!!How can that be?
3.From time to time some players in my squad get worried about the lack of managerial discipline.Nothing important has happened though..
4.In the tv pitch view you have to wait for sooo long when player goes to take a free kick or a corner kick.
5.My reputation in the game has become world class but several players find it hard to motivate for a manager of such a low fame.Also some others have personal issues with me but there s nothing i can do about it and there s no apparent reason for this to happen as well.
6.The players in the greek league get much lower average ratings than those in others even tough greek league is supposed to be much easier.This is totally unrealistic!However i remember this being an issue in previous fm versions as well.
That s all for now though i m sure i m forgetting about some other flaws of the game.I have to admit though that fm 10 is a good game and so much better than the last version i have played which was fm 07.If only the clubs transformed their interest into money!

1. Offer players to clubs.
2. They are the best players in the game then :) 3/4 stars means how good they are to the scouts, not the actual reflection on their quality.
3. Add to your discipline by warning players for red cards and poor perfomances (match ratings less than or at 5.9) Go on to fine players after a couple of warnings.
4. It can't be perfect :( lol
5. If they have personal issues do something to earn their trust. Sign players/staff they recommened or bigger contracts.
6. I personally wouldn't know as I'm not a follower of Greek football :D

Anyway my frustration.. Disallowed goals, especially in important matches. I wish it just came up saying it's disallowed rather than having the flashing goal thing and then just say nahhh :(
 
I seem to be unlucky at the mo'. Twice in a row i've conceded last minute set piece goals to big opposition, even though we are playing in injury time that should never have been..
 
ARRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10th game in and i havent lost until now against flaming WEST HAMM??!!! WTF?? TEAMS PERFORMANCE WAS A DISGRACE TO ENGLISH FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!
2 GOALS DISALLOWED, 1 WAS ALLOWED AND I LOST 2-1.

In my first season with Spurs, I sold Keane and implemented a 4-4-2 with Defoe and Crouch up front. I bought Kris Boyd from Rangers for a little over $8 million American. I thought for sure he'd be a solid backup striker.... In 15 appearances (9 substitutions) so far in the season, he has 0 goals and an average match rating of 6.55.

I just felt the need to complain about this, haha.
 
Playing with Barcelona, in my first season we had got knocked out of the Champions League in the Semi-Final by Inter of all teams, we were in the final of the Spanish Cup, La Liga was going down to the wire and we had won everything else.

Us and Real were on the same points with 4 games to go but our goal difference was 3 goals better. We won the next 3 games, scoring 14 goals and conceding none. On the last day all we had to do was win against Getafe and the league was ours. Of course we struggled against them in the first half and in the second we just couldn't score and Real won with a penalty.
 
Having to renew players and staff contracts before they run out !
Is there a way of doing this automatically ?
