Torquay united

Took Torquay United from League 2 to the Premier League and came 2nd!
+ won Champions League
+ won FA Cup (or League Cup, can't remember)

That was on FM08 though after about 9 seasons lol.

Each time I got promoted I scraped through with the last position in the playoffs though!

First time properly playing FM game, I picked Man City, and in pre-season friendlies, I won 5-0 with Adebayor scoring all 5 and getting a match rating of 10!

Playing Middlesbrough up to the fourth season. (will provide some nice screenshots later, if I remember :P)

The first season was a decently easy promotion, even though I was second all the way until two matches left. I somehow manage to get some cheap deals after hunting for cheap players (bought players like Mitea).

The second season was the greatest shock in my life. We are not expected to be anything more than 14th, but some extremely astute buys imho (Acousta for 6 mil,.Verrati on a loan deal, Diego Buonanotte for a 6.75 mil, Omar Bengeza at 750k and a few other young prospects) and a very tight but fluid 4-2-3-1 deep formation (made my own strategy based on some fm09 experience) provided a very good start to the campaign. The team faltered off during the mid season (8 losses by January!) but manage to somehow keep pace with the leaders and achieved 2nd in the EPL. Absolute shocker. Oh, I forgot to add, went out darn fast in FA and League Cup. Faced the top 4 and got walloped. lolz.

The third season, due to being 2nd last season, allowed for more funds. Diego wanted a bigger club, and provided more funds for us. Afinkeev was my best deal at 14 mil pounds along with Di Maria for 5 mil (YES, REALLY, 5 MIL!) with a few other good additions to the squad (Dawson at 8 mil mid season) brought me my first EPL title. Amusingly, we also won the Champions' League with a huge dosage of luck. In the quarter finals, I was losing 3-1 half time against Juventus and 3-4 on aggregate before fighting back 3-3 and going through. In the semi final, I was trailing Olympicos 2-3 before scoring a goal in the 92th minute for away goals rules. The final, vs Barcelona, was a total thrashing in possession (77% vs 23% for me). Was losing 1-0 up to the 86th minute until we summon the late goal spirit again and won 2-1. I almost felt like a real manager when my regen striker struck two absolute beauties. This is particularly nice because we only had 3 shots, 2 went in. Barcelona, on the other hand, had 24 shots on goal :P Go, Akinfeev!

Now on my fourth season, with an even bigger budget (84 mil, **** ya!), now leading the EPL by 4 points at the December winter period. Verrati is really a set piece monster. :P Best buy is really Sandro at a hefty 22 mil pounds, Marco Motta at 7mil, Mattock at 4 mil (he wanted to leave his club) and Gary Cahill on a free (Bolton relegated, I noted Feyenoord bidding for free, and went in the last minute to grab him for an almost English central defense (Krystov, Cahill, Dawson, Wheather)

In 5 seasons , getting Leeds United from League 1 to European Champions, League champions, and in the 6th season i managed to sign C.Ronaldo :)

It's like Fulham vs. Juve =o Only it's the champions league. XD Great comeback. :)

Decided to start a new game as unemployed and expected to take over somewhere like Brentford or whatever.

...to my surprise, Valladolid came knocking and offered me a job. At first I wasn't going to take it, since I wanted to start in the lower leagues, but then decided that I pretty much was: in reality, Valladolid were relegated last season and the media prediction in-game was 17th.

Signed three players for just under four million at the start of the season; Keisuke Honda, Ruben Rochina from Barca on loan with a view to a purchase for a million later, and Connor Wickham from Ipswich for just over a million as a future asset.

Now I'm 5 games from the end of the season, top of the league and have no real idea how the **** we got there. Almeria were top for most of the first half of the season, we traded places with them a lot and they're one of the only teams to beat us this year so far. Highlight of the season was a 7-2 thrashing of Real Madrid - no freakin' idea how we did that, either, everyone just played out of their skins.

Been that way most of the season; very few injuries and not had to play as many games as Barca and Real, which is probably a big help too!

January was panic stations when Haris Medunjanin went to Chelsea for just under 20 million. I think we robbed them, but he was playing some fine football for us. Had exactly 27 million left so threw in a bid for Ozil at Werder Bremen - and got him.

He's now the key reason we're still top, providing 12 assists in 9 games(!).

Fingers crossed we can finish the run-in.

...and I'm being linked with everyone. Board must be panicking. ;)

Cunning board. Offered me a new contract with 3 games to go. No way I can refuse since I'm pretty sure that'd duff the players' morale, and I was just thinking about moving elsewhere at the end of the season...

Only a game, but that was ****** smart.

Too tight to call: a brief run of poor form for my side -and- for Real Madrid means the title race is wide open. :s!

well... i am using Oxford (Blue Sq Premier) got promoted to coca cola league 2 YEY! , well not really good, but hope mure success will come :p
