This is where my disadvantage of argueing with a mod comes in, every other mod will come and side with you, apparently I'm an idiot and talking jargon, how? Apart from my first post, which was admitedly poor, I don't see any jargon or idiocy from me..

There is no bias between staff members, we often reverse decisions and disagree, Lee and I often have football related debates.

The point here is that you are not listening to reason or reading if you will. Lee is providing you with facts and information to support his argument, and instead of countering his argument you are slivering dribble about how the game is poorly developed, one of your main reasons was the ethnicity of the developers!.

On Topic: I agree with Kris. Except I don't hold the game in high regard, I dont really see how you can. It's a competition between 2 names, FIFA and PES. It's not like a FPS where there are like 50 different names, in which case you could hold like, 10, in high regard.

I hold the game in high regard because I have been playing it since I was about 10/11, I have grown up with, what has been a fantastic series.

They have fallen behind now with the next generation console's but why can't I hope they come back as strong as they once were.

I prefered FIFA last year because it had less flaws than PES but I missed the faster gameplay, FIFA WC was the perfect game, the gameplay was next to flawless, It had the grpahical side of fifa but with a faster speed and gameplay that reminded me of pes.

1st paragraph, I'll take your word for it. 2nd paragraph, I don't see how anything I've said bar the first post has been anymore "dribble" like than anything Lee has said. Lol at you saying that was my main point, I believe I only said that once, in the first post which I recall describing as "little more than a joke"

Fair enough.

Just like you I don't hold PES 2010 (or 2008 or 2009) in high regard either, it's a poor game with many faults. But just because the gameplay doesn't feel right, it doesn't mean they know nothing about football. Did they suddenly forget everything they know about football during the 3 years of Next Gen development? Or have they just struggled to adapt to the advancing technical requirements and the quality of gameplay (and entire experience) that is expected thanks to the developers at EA Canada.

So the passing might be analog (if you haven't learnt to use the manual passing), the players were only limited to 16-directions, shocking goalkeepers who love to parry the ball, poor defensive AI, and whole host of other problems. But none of these are because they don't understand Football itself.
Fair enough. Personally I've always preferred Fifa, admitedly at times not even playing the respective PES games to compare, only PES that I've played and liked is 5. If you don't attribute those things to their lack of understanding of football then what do you attribute them to? Because I agree, those are basically the things I think are bad about PES.

Konami has opened signups for a multiplayer beta for PES 2011.

Available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, users can now register their interest on the Konami Support website.

Focused on the Master League Online mode, the beta will begin on August 17, with those accepted due to receive an email the day before.

PES 2011 will be released later this year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Doesn't look that bad to be fair. I really like the look of linking up the feints. I've pre-ordered FIFA11, so doubt I'll get this.

lol, kicking around a sweet with a pumpkin head on. Looks funny.

just heard they will replace licensed Liverpool with Spurs by last season performance reason.Shame that they still keep Man U :(

I've always bought PES ever since ISS98 but i have always preferred Fifa

Nice. Did i notice the return of away shorts there towards the end, when Barca where playing Atletico Madrid? Hope so.

I hope so, was always nice having the option to choose what socks/shorts to play in to avoid colour clashes.

Liverpool are not licensed this year. But I doubt it's based on their performance.

Not out on PSN the last time I checked.

PS Store usually updates at 5pm every Wednesday so those who want it should check after then. Probably out already on Xbox.

Will this year's one be anywhere as good as Fifa in your opinion ?

I think that's something for you to decide by yourself.

Big hint though... No.

If you're desperate the Winning Eleven demo is out on the Japanese store. Yeah the demo is out on the Xbox, for gold members (whatever that means) only apparently.
