Played it briefly. Lots of changes from last year unlike FIFA which is basically World Cup 2010 with club sides.

Loving the new passing system, although it almost makes the through ball button redundant. Animations are crisp and look good. Scoring is as enjoyable and rewarding as ever. Players look good and stay in position better. The gameplay on the whole is much crisper and a return to its simulation roots.

On the negative side, i don't like the 2 camera angles available, hopefully the traditional normal will be there in the final game. Also the tactics and game plan screens seem to be getting more complicated every year.

All in all though so far so good. 8/10

There's an option to change the game speed as well Kris, pause it during the game and you can take it to -2 or +2. I prefer it slow-ish so I have it on -1 as it gives you a bit more time to think.

Really loving Iniesta on this game, everything that goes through him just oozes class. Player individuality is awesome as usual. If only PES had some catchy gimmick like Personality+ maybe everyone would *********e over it as well.

Indeed, I think you notise the personal ability of each player a lot more on pes than fifa. Especially with sides like Barca where you will know all the players and what each of them can do and it feels very real watching Xavi pinging balls left and right or Iniesta controling the midfield.

When I played last night It felt as though Bayern were trying to exploit weakness' in my side, playing high balls over the top for Olic to chase or high balls to Tymochak(sp) who always managed to out muscle Iniesta due to his height and perhaps weaker physical presence. I just pushed him forward, took off Sergio for Keita and the whole thing changed completely.

I like the two camera angle's but I understand why it's not to everyones taste, I think we are very similar when it comes to our football games JP and i'm glad we share the same views again this year.

Yeah I agree with woody about redundant threw balls. You can pretty much do with the regular passing.

I love the players shouting, and the crowd atmosphere. The strategy screen is interesting, it appears more streamlined, but it deviates a lot from the PES's of old.

I'm so bored recently, so I can't wait for this! Not had PES in a while, and having seen the video from above, it looks pretty good, so I'll get it when it comes out, might pre-order it as my birthday's the 3rd, so I might get Fifa, Xbox Live for my birthday, then PES on the 8th, that should stop the boredom! :D

Downloading demo for PS3 now looking forward to it from what has been said.

All my mates have defected to FIFA since last year out I don't see the joy in it is too easy and can lob everyone with anyone is stupid love PES as it offers a challenge rather than simply ******* on AI as on FIFA.

is anyone struggling to get the link feints working? i've got them all sorted out, but in the game they rarely occur? all you have to do is flick the right analogue in the direction you set right? or do you need to hold R2 or something?

I used to love PES and it's master league's etc. But Fifa is just getting unbelievable. PES takes one step foward whilst FIFA takes about 10. That trailer doesn't look to bad though I must say. Looks quite easy to score though. Most games against the computer on that game end up like 15-0.

I've played both the demo's for pes and fifa and i think pes has improved from last year and fifa is just the same

L1 + Right Stick Direction

the demo for fifa 11 and pes 11 came out on wednesday

i thin kthe most frustrating things on PES are the keepers slow to throw out, too many replays! and not nearly enough use of advantage, it slows the play down horribly. oh and the 6 minute vid.

Thought I would give the demo ago and it aint bad, The way it captures how Messi plays in real life is amazing though I don't think Fifa would ever be able to do it that good.

I got the PC demo, so I removed the video file.

and lol it's not easy to score, harder than usual actually, feels good to score. Don't know what difficulty your playing on if you win most games 15-0? If you play in a mediocre league with a solid team you've built you can win 5,6-0 against weaker teams.

Just a shame my right analogue stick doesn't work on the PC because I'd like to try some of these.

no one should be winning that score on Pro Evo, Its goes without saying I thought, Pro Evo is always played on Top Player.
I dont feel like I've earned a goal on a football game unless the AI is on the hardest difficulty

Why I hate PES.

Dunno whether I'm getting it, the demo didn't really impress me.
