sounds good, but it isnt, gk's are shity, defenders wont listen your joystick ( or keyboard) controls, their anticipation is horror! only good things are passing n dribble ( exepct messi, ronaldo and kaka). About skills and tricks, every player, and when I say every player I meant that even goalkeeper can perform the most difficult trick off them all, one and only - rainbow flick -.-. I got it one week ago, and I can say it bored me to death. But, hey, my opinion :D

They patched it to make the tricks more difficult didn't they?

I guess so. :(

You can try just copying the save file over and not all the graphics. But if you notice any errors you can always copy over the graphics as well.
 
Installing Xbox 360 option files is actually alot easier than wahat i thought. Makes a huge difference to the game.
 
They initially did away with dribbling accuracy effecting tricks?? Why, the old way of having to have a certain attribute level (ie 85) to do certain tricks worked fine.
 
Anybody with a 360 who needs an option file then dragonskin has released his. Im using it myself and its pretty good although better ones are being worked on by daymos for example.

become a legend is very frustrating. starting my career at Bolton Wanderers and played 14 games and scored 7 goals including the winner against Man Utd at Old Trafford. i am the first choice striker at the club but i keep either being left out of the squad for the last 3 games AND when i do start, without fail i get taken off after 60 minutes and then the team conceded :( very anoyying

i am ****** off with BAL already, not only are the rest of my team complete jack *****, i have a manager that is utterly useless. semi-final of the Europa League, 2nd leg we are 1-0 up from the 1st leg (i scored) only to be start on the bench. ok so i fast forward and come on in the 62nd minute, i then got took off in the 75th minute, YES 75th MINUTE. they then score and the game eventually goes to penalties where OMG i have never seen anything like it, my keeper didn't attempt to save one.... all that effort for nothing :(
 
I was looking on Pesgaming, and a lot of people are frustrated at BAL, they never fixed the user's teammates. In BAL it handicaps your player by making your teammates less intuitive. If you just take a moment while playing, you'll notice how smoother the opposing AI is compared to your own.

Completely agree, I'm onto the 3rd season at the moment and at times it's like having a team full of the Chucklebrothers. Especially your defenders, who when in possession seem to just run straight at the opposition.

These problems don't seem to be there when I'm playing for England though, so it just looks as though Konami have really failed with balancing AI with the weaker players.
 
Since I'm in the US, can I still download the game from the PES website even though it hasn't been released in the US? When I go to the website it says I need to choose a region, USA not being one, so I chose england, and one of the options is to buy and download the game.

Not sure if it will work though..
 
Played this in Currys today, well, I picked up the controller, and straight from kick off, ran through the chelsea team, and pinged one in off the post with Iniesta, I then put down the controller, and walked off, feeling cool as **** as about 10 people had been watching haha!
 
Bought this yesterday, and I started the Become A Legend journey which, for me, is the main draw to PES (as well as CL and Europa League licensing).

I knew what to expect gameplay-wise, having played the demo extensively, so the only let-down so far has been the occasional lapse in concentration/quality from my team-mates in BAL mode. However, its still vastly superior to FIFA's Be A Pro (in my opinion).

The option files from daymos look great, and if you can get them working, the question of officially licensed teams is made redundant.

I have both FIFA and PES and enjoy each for different reasons, although I've gotta say I'm edging - only slightly - towards Konami this year. A definite step up in quality from last year's lacklustre effort, I reckon PES 2011 "should be regarded as a definite purchase".
 
I never thought I would say this but I had turned to the dark side. In my opinion (with the downloads) pes is just better than FIFA this year.

The game play for a start is better, a lot more realistic I think as mistakes are made at for example the dying moments of the game and you have a slender lead.

Be a legend although has it's problems which many have stated already has absolutely hit the nail on the head with realism. The fact that you start at a random, lesser club is the first plus. This is followed by the fact that you can actually be a sub or be subed, something ea don't understand. The little career stats and career photos are a nice touch as well.

Editing is just so cool, being able to change and create kits is awesome! Giving arsenal and
Chelsea both horrible kits is childish yet enjoyable.

All in all pes for me just gets the nod over FIFA, I shall keep FIFA for online use but for my own game time, pes it is for me this year!
 
The point of starting out "with lesser clubs" in BAL for 2011, is in my experience no different from 2010. I don't think I was ever offered a contract coming out of the youth system by a big name club. Maybe once.

You've seriously have to score above 9 in the youth game to get good offers. I couldn't tell you how many times I've restarted the youth game.......
