Problem with blending into the squad (possible bug)

Ok, I've been playing for 7 seasons and one of my players who has been in the team from the very beginning, one of the best players, and one of the leaders in the team is now suddenly having problems blending into the squad. How is this possible?

maybe you changed the tactic or he may come from a long term injury. usually those things make a player having problems
