Problem with Strikers: Can't score / perform

Hi,

I need help as my strikers cant seem to perform or score. They would always miss in one on one situations.

I am managing liverpool and my team is currently top of the table.

Yet, the goals seem to come from midfield and from set plays rather than from the strikers.

Both my strikers (sturridge and suarez) have an appalling goal-to-appearance ratio of approx 8 to 9 goals over 20 matches.

whilst other midfielders are having the same goal ratio.

i play a pass-to-goal system. my tactics and instructions can be seen below.

Sturridge is inconsitent, so I would replace him.
Because the shape of your formation it is possible that both your strikers reach lateral positions, outside the box, I would add instruction "Exploit the middle". In this way, your strikers should remain in the box all the time. I would dismiss "work ball into the box" because these prevent strikers to shoot and make them pass, instead. I would instruct both your wing backs to "cross more often" and "cross aim center" in order to create opportunities for your strikers. I would remove "drill crosses" because some times is limiting the other players.
