Welcome to the First Challenge in the Editing Championship

Due to having to go out unexpectedly I'm releasing the challenge early, the deadline will still be has posted below.

A Legends Team

You may be thinking “What” “That’s Easy” or “Surely he can come up with better than this” but there’s more involved to editing a Legends Team than meets the eye, and trust me as we go on the challenges will become Harder (much Harder )

The Rules.

1.Pick any team you want
2 there must be no players in 1st team that are currently in the game under the age of 33
3 All players chosen must have played for the club at some point in there career
4 The Max number of players must not exceed 25
5 YOU ONLY HAVE 48 HOURS TO COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE
6 Keep it real

All Dbs and a brief description of work (notepad/wordpad) to be uploaded to a file sharing site and a Link to be sent to me via PM at any site I am a member.

CLOSING DATE – 7pm Friday 18th March (any dbs submitted after 7pm ie 7.01pm will be discarded.

nice first challenge :D if the players i decide are still playing do i put their real age now or their age at the time of the success ?

Depends if your doing a era team or overall legends team, age is totally up to you, Im not going to give a lot away about what Im looking for(6) as this would result in everyone doing the same thing and make marking it a nightmare:)
 
I've made a start on this, hopefully I can finish it in time, but got lots of school, etc :) I'm doing Liverpool, predictably. :P
 
I'm not doing any specific team, just to add some spice into the mix. :)

Not going to be able to get this done, way too much schoolwork to spend my free time editing. The 2 day deadline is too short for me. It would maybe be alright if it was over a weekend, but not during the week.

Hopefully I'll be able to do the next challenge. :S

Why dont you trust them, I use Mediafire its free account is good and I haven't encountered any problems, People can only download what you specify.
 
Not sure if I can make the deadline due to being busy.
 
OK in hindsight I should have done the 1st challenge over the weekend, So what Im going to do is extend the deadline to Monday 7pm, anyone that submits a db by 7pm tonight will have their db looked at more favorably.

15.30 mate, but dont panic deadline has been extended see post above yours
 
if 2 dbs are close but one was uploaded by the original time than that one will get the higher mark.
 
Decided to try and get this done today :) Thanks for the extension psycho, I just didn't have the time during the week. :S

12 players done, 13 to go :)

A poor turnout for the first challenge, hopefully the second will inspire more people to enter.

The Results

The main things I was looking for was someone to come up with a un-predictable team choice and attention to detail.

3 people entered, In reverse order of places are

3rd H.A.M

Team choice – Santos, Good choice not as predictable as the others, however was let down by lack of players (9) and the fact present players weren’t removed from the team, no players were declared for nation and city of birth was wrong, all set to Santos, however the set up of the attributes was good.
On the upbeat this could have easily been the winner if more effort had gone into it.

2nd Wondermanager

Team Choice – Real Madrid, Predictable choice, 25 players chosen however the choice of Van Nistelrooy caused raised eyebrows (surely Man U, maybe PSV), City of births correct, though again no player declared for nation, good CA/PA but other attributes missing.
A good Legends team db, could have snatched 1st if a little more went into the details.

1st CalumE5

Team Choice – Liverpool, again predictable, 25 players chosen and a team formation entered to fit in with chosen players, city of births correct, again though vital attributes missing. International appearances and goals set though no players declared for nation.

I liked this db the best a lot more thought went into this, though once again was lacking detail, just edged it though with formation and International stats set.

Lets hope a few more compete in the next round, Will release Challenge 2 shortly.
 
Challenge 2

Create a competition, Nation or Continental Rules which involves clubs with a connection

The Rules.

1.Teams to be specified (no get team from league)
2 Teams must be linked ie city/county/continental region
3 No limits on teams but must obey rule 1 & 2
4 YOU ONLY HAVE 2 WEEKS TO COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE
