This is my first guide so hopefully it's a good one!

Expectations:

Top Half of the Table Finish - €7m aprx.

Squad Analysis:

Goalkeepers:

Radek Cerny - He is a very good championship keeper who will do for the first couple of seasons.

Verdict: With QPR only having 1 keeper, there needs to be transfers made, urgently!

Transfer Options:

*Scott Carson - €4m
Alex Smithies - €1m
Scott Loach - €1m
Ian Walker - Free

Left Back/Wing Back:

Gary Borrowdale - Poor Championship Left Back, used as backup, but that's it!
Matthew Connelly - Is a backup Lefy Back as he should be starting at Centre Back.

Verdict:

Needs 1 good solid Left Back to take the first team position, as we have 2 decent back ups..

Transfer Options:

*Nicky Shorey - €3.8m
Jose Enrique - €4m
Andrw Taylor - €3.5m

Right Back/Wing Back:

Matthew Connelly - Again, he can be used for back up here, but not a starter.
Peter Ramage - Good enough to start, but if so, he would be a weak link.

Verdict:

No transfer is neccessary if tight on money, but if you have spare cash, I would suggest you get in a quality Right Back.

Transfeer Options:

Steven Taylor - €6m
*Sevastien Corchia - Loan
*Dan Gosling - Loan

Center Back:

Matthew Connelly - Good Starting Center Back.
Peter Ramage - Back Up as he may have Right Back duties.
Kaspars Gorkss - Challenging for the other Starting Place with Hall and Stewart.
Fitz Hall - Weakest of the 3 challengers for the other spot.. Could be sold to relieve pressure on Transfer/Wage Budget.
Damian Stewart - Challenging for that 1st team spot with Gorkss and maybe Hall.

Verdict:

No trandfer neccessary but there are some free transfers there just for a bit of back up.

Tranfer Options:

*Jorge Andrade - Free
Sol CAmpbell - Free

Centre Mid:

Mikele Leigertwood - Back Up, Could be sold to free up some money.
Gavin Mahon - Too old, needs to be sold.
Martin Rowlands - One of 4 capable Mids.
Alejandro Faurlin - Challenging for first team spot.
Ben Watson - Challenging also.
Akos Buzsaky - Best Midfielder probably, although he is better in attacking midfield. Definite starter!

Verdict:

No transfer needed, 4 capable center mids.

Transfer Options:

-

Left Winger:

Hogan Ephraim - Can be used in better positions (AMC) but still as good as cook.
Wayne Routledge - Good back up fpr Cook.
Lee Cook - Best Left winger in squad, should start.

Verdict:

No more players needed on the left wing.

Transfer Options:

-

Right Wing:

Hogan Ephraim - Can be used in better positions (AMC) but good back up..
Wayne Routledge - Good enough too start here.
Matteo Alberti - Back up, and that's all he ever will be
Martin Rowlands - Plays better in the middle of the park.

Verdict:

Enought quality here too suffice but there are a few bargains that could improve the area.

Transfer Options:

*Camel Meriem - Free
Hamed Namouchi - Free

Center Attacking Mid:

Hogan Ephraim - Great at playing here and still good back up for both wings, great versatile player.
Akos Buzsaky - Another Great AMC.

Verdict:

1 player brought in here just to bolster options.

Transfer Options:

*Camel Meriem - Free

Striker:

Rowan Vine - Decent, but not good enough, makes good back up.
Angelo Balanta - Potentially good, 1st season, not good enough to start.
Jay Simpson - Again, makes good back up.
Heidar Helguson - Should be sold to raise money, pretty useless.

Verdict:

In the championship you need goalscorers and QPRs squad just don't have them! 2 quality strikers need to be brought in.

Transfer Options:

*Ebi SMolarek - Free
Hamed Namouchi - Free
Mark Viduka - Free
Henri Camera - Free
Zavon Hines - Loan
Marlon Harewood - ?

*indicates best buy for that particular position.

Thanks Mate, Looks like a good detailed guide. :D

Once I get a bit more feedback, I'm gonna edit it and add on bits like player positions (poacher/deep lying playmaker etc)if people want it/request it.. Hope you like it =]

Ben Watson is your best midfielder, trust me.
Use him as a playmaker.

Good guide mate, very detailed.

brilliant guide, i found marlon harewood a superstart. must buy. play as advanced forward

O consider watson on par with rowlands and faurlin.. Buzsaky at amc is very god..

I managed to win the league today with QPR, but it was before i saw ur guide and i have to say i had pretty much most of the players u sugested for transfers, however i tweaked the team abit here it is:
F.VILAR(1.6m)
CORCHIA(LOAN) SHILLA(FREE QUALITY CB) OTAMENDI(5.5m) MASILELA(24k!)
APPIAH(FREE)
KRIVETS(475k!) BUSZOKY(was in the team)
VIDUEZ(free) SMOLOREK(Free TRAINED to AML)
G.FERNANDEZ(1.2m)

Promoted with 5 games in hand :)

Hey U have inspired me to start a QPR story so can u please give me help on what tactic to use

Antunes from roma, LB get for £875k at beginning only £3600 ish wages

I dont use winggers becosue i use complete domance tac
so i sell all my wingers and get a good striker and WB
normaly get premoted 1st seeson
i say normaly becosue i have started about 4 trys ( get bored )
nice guide spot on

Hi, great guide mate, really helpful
There are just 2 players i really recommend
Joe Lewis (GK, Peterbourgh, £1mil)
& Jermaine Beckford (ST, Leeds, £2.5mil)
Both are awesome...Beckford gets about 30 goals a season and thats with every team i've played with, including Chelski and Joe Lewis is definatley one for the future and even at this stage challenges Cerny for the no.1 spot
