Question about the update

Hi all,
I know at the start football manager is a little bit buggy until they update it. My question is, say I start a save then an update gets released while I'm playing that save - would I have to start a new save for the bugs to be fixed or will it automatically update in my save?

FM patches & updates are normally save game compatible, although you may find that a good tactic might not be as successful as before the patch.
