Quick question

If I download the new fm via steam tomorrow will I be able to download the editor too? And also will I get the same experience as I would if I purchased the disk version? Sorry for the questions as they may seem obvious but usually I just buy the disk version but I won't be able to yet so any help would be wonderful

Yes, whether you buy the disc or just download the game the editor will be available to download from Steam tomorrow also. I always buy the disc but there is no benefit either way you buy the game
