R7S LEGENDS OF ALL TIME V1
After a long period of research, editing and testing, I have completed the first public version of R7S Legends of All Time for Football Manager 2026.
The idea is to bring legendary and historic football figures from different generations into the modern FM26 world and make them work together in a playable long term career.
Rather than simply adding famous names, the project focuses on rebuilding players in detail and trying to represent the footballers they were during their careers.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
• More than 7,500 legendary and historic football figures
• More than 250 clubs represented
• Players from multiple generations in the same FM26 world
• Age normalisation and de ageing
• Career stage CA and PA balancing
• Detailed technical, mental and physical attributes
• Primary and secondary playing positions
• Preferred feet
• Player traits and playing styles
• Personalities and reputation
• Playing histories and club relationships
• Contracts and squad integration
• Homegrown and club trained pathways
• Club finances and historical strength adjustments
• Youth development and youth intake work
• Long term save balancing
• Duplicate and identity checking
GLOBAL COVERAGE
The database covers hundreds of clubs from different countries and generations of football.
There has been extensive work across England, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Scotland, alongside South American football and many other parts of the world.
Examples of represented clubs include Benfica, Sporting CP, FC Porto, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, PSV, Celtic and Rangers.
South American clubs are also represented, including Santos, Flamengo, Palmeiras, Corinthians, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Independiente and Racing Club, alongside many others.
PLAYER RECONSTRUCTION
One of the main objectives has been making the players feel different from each other rather than creating a database full of players with similar high attributes.
Profiles have been researched individually, including technical ability, mentality, physical characteristics, positions, preferred feet, traits, personality and career information.
Current Ability and Potential Ability have also been considered alongside the stage of the player's career represented in the database.
AGE NORMALISATION
Historical players have been brought into the FM26 timeline at appropriate playing ages.
This allows different generations to exist together rather than having historic players appear at their original retirement ages.
Modern players have also been considered so that the database can support a mixture of historic and current generations without completely breaking long term progression.
CLUBS AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
The work is not limited to individual players.
Club finances, historical strength, youth environments, youth intake balance, homegrown status and long term squad development have also received attention.
The objective is to make the database suitable for actual careers rather than only being something to look through in the editor.
FACEPACK
A dedicated R7S Legends Facepack has also been created for the project so historical players can have appropriate faces in game.
V1
This is the first public version of the project.
Development will continue after V1 with corrections, balancing improvements, additional historical research and further content.
With a database of this size there will inevitably be things that can still be improved, so community feedback will be useful.
If you find a missing legend, incorrect player, duplicate, attribute issue, club problem or something that behaves incorrectly during a save, please post it in this thread.
I would also be interested to hear which clubs people choose and how the different generations perform against each other over longer saves.
R7S Legends of All Time V1 is now released for Football Manager 2026.
I hope people enjoy experimenting with the database and creating their own version of football history.
