The creators of Quake and Doom along with ID and Bethesda have come togther to make what looks like one **** of a game...

The graphics look fantastic (you can see Bethesda were involved) the gunplay looks pretty cool too.

The story of Rage takes place in the future where an asteroid has hit the earth and destroyed most of civilization. You play as the sole survivor of an ark that was buried underground and damaged when the asteroid hit. The government knew this was coming, so it created the ark program where it buried hundreds of self-contained arks in an attempt to save some people from the calamity.

More people than expected survived the impact, but no one expected you to emerge alive. After waking up from your cryo-sleep, you see that the world is now overrun with bandits and mutants. Societies have tried to rebuild, but there's this omnipresent force known as the Authority that apparently keeps a close eye on everything and will pay good money to pick up anyone wearing an ark suit.

Looks like it is going to be quite impressive, I just hope that it has a good single player campaign (like Fallout) for us gamers who love their plots/stories in games

Yeah it looks good, and id Tech 5 looks brilliant.

I was actually in the process of making a thread for this game a few weeks ago, but unfortunately closed my browser by accident and couldn't be bothered to do it again.

Actually sorry to correct everyone that said this is like borderlands but.... This was in production (in 2005) before borderlands and a year after it was announced they released their 'Art' of the game, but none the less still will be an epic game.

So it can't be similar to Borderlands because it was in production in 2005?

Hmm.

Metro 2033 + Borderlands + Fallout = Rage :)

seriously looking forward to this, love how the twigs/plants move so realistically when you move over them :)

I didn't say it can't be similar, im saying it can't be described as a Borderland like game, the Art is similar yes but the rest is very different, people describe it as "like borderlands" but if anything borderlands is like this.

Looking at this, really good-looking game. May have to purchase.

The word 'like' is used in terms of similarity. Therefore if Borderlands is like this, this is like Borderlands. I honestly couldn't care if I didn't consider the production of both games chronologically as the post is still valid and correct.

Holy ****, looks awesome. I'm a sucker for these kind of games.
