Rare achievement with a defender

After playing FM2011 for quite a while now (I'm currently in my sixth season) I think it never happened to me before that a defender scored 4 goals in 1 match.

Today I played with Real Madrid (#1) against Valencia (#5). Lately my team didn't play that well so I thought it'd be a close match...

However my team outplayed Valencia everywhere and scored almost every chance they got. Sakho scored four times with his head and gave one assist to Higuain.... to make things even more weird, Sakho rarely scored a goal before.

As soon as I saw the title I just knew this would have something to do with the corner bug.
 
corner bug? what is the corner bug? and I wish my defenders did that! awesome achievement!
 
Basically a player with good height and headings put on the far post and ball to be placed Far post
 
o dear, is that it? I would have thought most people would do something like that anyway!
 
not really a bug it's what teams do in real life and even teams that play against you in the gfame
 
Last year with Brighton in the Premier, my defender, Galeano, was my top scorer, with 12, no prizes for guessing where we came, 20th.
 
Yeah sakho scores a ridiculous amount of goals for me, strange because none of my other defenders do, and their heading stats arent too far off his.
 
I've had 5 goals with Ranocchia (<3), every FM seems to have a corner exploit of some kind
 
Meh, far post headers are not impressive. AI defenders have trouble defending and the goalkeeper has a horrible time tracking the ball, as long as you have a good heading CB back there and a decent crosser, it's a goal 25% of the time.
 
The most goals I have had with a defender is 3.
Andy Dawson scored 2 free-kicks and a penalty! (H)
 
indeed, just got the Man United job after leaving Chelsea and he is replacing Ferdinand for me!
 
Mexes hat-trick away to Inter. Won the game 3-0 and that result helped me win the league by one point.
Had Nagatoma get a FT 10.0 rating in a CL match also which was impressive for me as he has been generally quite poor.
