Fellow Managers,

First, i wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. ^^)
Secondly, i have been searching around the forums for a thread that you post your team on, and other members rate it. I couldn't find any, and i wanted my latest team to be rated by none over, than my friends at FM-base.co.uk. (A) Important things to take into account..

  1. I HAVE NEVER USED GENIE SCOUT
  2. I HAVE NEVER USED A DATABASE EDITOR TO ADJUST FUNDS OR ADJUST PEOPLE WITHIN MY TEAM
  3. I HAVE NEVER CHEATED OR USED ANY SOFTWARE TO ENHANCE MY TEAM
I am currently managing both Manchester City and Italy. I have been managing Manchester City since the very start, and recently started international managing, first starting at the England Under 20s, and now at Italy (The 2nd best international team in 2015/2016).

I think my sqaud is by far the best i have ever seen, with very high profile players and staff gelled together to bring a lot of achievements and results.

Heres my current Manchester City sqaud of 2015:

Goalkeepers

First Choice:

Sergio Asenjo

View attachment 21646

A big signing in 2014, Asenjo is one of the best keepers in the game, with the likes of Iker Casillas and Reina downgrading very quickly, i had to sign a young, trustworthy keeper. Asenjo was the first to my mind, although, i could have signed Rene Adler at the time, but stuck with Asenjo. I first made a bid of 26.5M with no clauses after Shay Given downgraded majorly over a season, and a small European team stole Joe Hart as he was almost out of contract, at the beginning of the 2014 season, Given was injured for 2 months, i had no reserve keepers, i had to play my 16-year old regen during the Community Shield. Luckily, they didn't punish the young keeper.

Second Choice/Rotation:

Igor Akinfeev

View attachment 21630

In 2014, i bidded for this keeper for over 20M but it was rejected. I was suprised to find him, at the End of the 2014 season, almost out of contract and valued at around about 5M. I think a lot of bad performances downgraded his value, but his age should have not made a difference. But, i was able to offer him a contract a few months before he was out of his current one, but still had to pay 5M compensation to CSKA. Still, snaping up a world class keeper for 5M? I can't complain. (6)

Defenders:

Left-backs:

First choice:

Bacary Sagna

View attachment 21620

Wing backs are so hard to find on FM10. Literally, they are either wonderkids or aging. A few seasons in, i was getting tired of my original wingers (Richards and Onuoha). So, i bidded for many world class ones. I bidded 15M for Rafinha, 27M for Evra, 26M for Clichy and 26.5M for Sagna. Unfortunatly, Sagna was the only one i went on to sign, despite his good stats. He is 31 years old now, and i need to find another left back both as First choice, and rotational winger.

Centre-Backs:

First Choice Partnership:

Ales Chaloupka (Regen)

View attachment 21618

View attachment 21619

As you can see, this is one outstanding Regen. I purchased him a few seasons ago for under 4M and now he is currently worth 17M at 20 years old. He has been a first team choice for 2 seasons and won Youth Player of the Year in his first season. I found him just searching for players, and he is already known to be better than Mamadou Sakho. Real Madrid want to sign him, but i'm sure i can keep hold of him. |) I use him as a cover defender, despite this, he can be a stopper, an all round defenders, a ball player, a limited, anything, a class player, i would like to make him Captain sometime soon. :$

Mamadou Sakho

View attachment 21635

He may not look like a brilliant defender, but he does what needs to be done. He has a good range of stats to be a Stopper. As Chaloupka is acting as Cover. Sakho usually is error-prone which is important at this level. But i am still bidding for other defenders.. oO)

Right-Backs

First Choice:

Micah Richards

View attachment 21636

Second choice:

Nedum Onuoha

View attachment 21639

Although Micah Richards a better central defender, he still plays well for me on the right. Another area, i still need to invest in, but i still trust him to play well here. Overall, my Defence is very versatile, i can play any defender in almost any defensive position. If you can suggest any buys, baring in mind i'm in 2015, even Chiellini is getting old. Then please comment with your suggestions.

Midfielders

Central Midfield Options:

Coutinho

Another player i snapped up as a free transfer from Inter. He has played better than any player i have in some games, and possesses some amazing tricks and long shots even though his stats aren't that impressive. I was expecting him to turn into a good player, but every scout says that he is a 'leading star for most premiership clubs'. I could sell him in the near future if he isn't rotated enough.

Diego

View attachment 21626

One of the best playmakers in the game, he is the only playmaker that isn't aging on my game. The likes of Pirlo and Ronaldinho have become Worthless. I signed him from his club Juventus for a sum of 20M. A brilliant signing in my opinion, a playmaker in the first team almost every game, but can be rotated.

Yoann Gourcuff

View attachment 21655

View attachment 21629

Well, if it wasn't for his contract running out, i would have never approached this player. I managed to sign him on a FREE TRANSFER. He wasn't playing well for his French Club, so they didn't offer him a contract, and me, being a cheeky chappy, took advantage of that nicely. As soon as i signed him on a free, his value was at 25M. Worthwhile? Well, he got the award for most assists in every competition and broke the record for Premiership assists in his first season with over 20 from his central position. And, he isn't aging, which is one of the main factors i like, when buying a player.

Nigel De Jong

View attachment 21640

Yes, i haven't sold him yet. But i am tempted too, although, he is still a useful player when i am up against oppositions with great attacking midfielders like Gerrard, Navas etc. He can man mark and still play a role. Also, i have just accepted a 20M offer for him from Man Utd.

View attachment 21641

Gareth Barry

View attachment 21628

Why oh why, haven't i sold him. He is the backup of backup for my team. If Diego is injured, De Jong comes in, If De Jong is injured, Coutinho comes in, if Countinho is injured then Barry MIGHT have a chance, he does impress for the reserves may i add.. oO)

Cesc Fabregas

View attachment 21621

My latest signing for a sum of 66M. A brilliant playmaker, and still young. Which of course, is my main target in the current situation. He will definatly be my best central player this season, but i will still have to rotate him unforunatly.

Javier Pastore

View attachment 21631

A great player in some aspects, but, still a rotational player. I don't think he will improve anymore than his current ability, but he can still put in a good performance, just not a regular first team player in my opinion.

Stephen Ireland

View attachment 21642

View attachment 21650

A rotational midfielder, at his peak, but still not good enough to play. I have accepted an offer for him recently.

Wingers, take a look at the big guns:

FRANCK RIBERY

View attachment 21627

Probably, the worst signing i have made. He was performing terribly for Bayern. He was valued under 5M after just a season or two. And Ribery being a class player as he is, i put a 15M offer in for him, and it was accepted. I went on to sign him, but he did not perform well in the first season, second season i loaned him to Everton, who ended up getting relegated, not the best motivational move.. But he is still part of my team, although he is old, he is still a world class player, a good rotation for my sqaud.

THEO WALCOTT

View attachment 21651

In my first few seasons, i signed Walcott for 25M. A big sum for a player with these stats. But his pure explosive running was the main reason i purchased him, he held the record of most assists in a season (22) until Gourcuff broke it. He is valued at 15M and is still a good age, i don't plan on selling him, even though he is a rotation now.

LIONEL MESSI

View attachment 21634

My biggest signing of last season, for a sum of 120M. He was dissapointing in his first, but his age is a brilliant reason to keep him. He will gel with the team, and be a great player.

C. RONALDO

View attachment 21622

My biggest signing of the season, for 110M up front, and another 40M over a period of time, a sum of 150M. Nothing to say yet over this transfer, well, he scored a hatrick pre-season. And i'm sure Man Utd will be pleased to have him at Old Trafford for a game this season. :$

Strikers:

First choice:

Sergio Aguero

View attachment 21645

A great player, at the same standard as Messi and Ronaldo. I couldn't ask for a better all round striker, he can play as almost anything up front, although i like the formation i am currently using, and i have him as poacher so that Diego and Gourcuff can just slip balls in to him and he can finish anything. A great player - signed for 52M (His release clause) in the 3rd or 4th season..

If injured,

Nathan Delfouneso.

View attachment 21638

A good, young striker, who is still improving.. He has amazing stats for a poacher, and is the best rotation, he gets a lot of games against weaker opposition and if Ageuro is injured, he does seem to get a lot of injuries.

Thats all my players, a few are reserves but thats about all of them..

Heres a few bits of information about the club, myself and a few big names that you may be wondering where they have gone..

Notice, how many goals he has scored during his time with City. Amazing. I had to let him go, as you can see, hes getting on a bit..

Robinho, a dissapointing player for me, sold him for 14.75M

Thanks for reading :)
Merry Christmas.. And i hope you comment back with feedback..

If this is in the wrong forum, then i was confused.. Cus' this thread includes both Tactics and Players. If i posted in the 'Players' forum then someone would most likely redirect me to the 'Tactics' forum.. I don't know.. I would have thought this thread would be in either this forum or General Discussion, any moderators reading, please do not close this thread for being in the wrong area. Just place it in the right one?

Thanks,
FourFourTwo. :)

The player you would recommend to sell - Barry
The player you would recommend to buy - Pato?
How good has my managerial decisions and career been? (out of 10 again) - 9.5 - Minor mistake with Villa
What would be the best tactic to play with this sqaud? - Not sure, I don't know much tactics =P
One question you want to ask me? - How did you get so good in FM =P

wow. villa 38 games 56 goals how????????????????

Sergio Aguero is your best signing, i also managed to get Yoann Gourcuff on a FREE transfer with my Man Utd team, i do think you over spent on players, Ronaldo £150M is crazy no matter how good he is lol however i think you managed to build a dream team.

I had him as poacher, and during that season, or the season before, i didn't sign a single player, so they geled almost perfectly! I think the squad harmony was over 90%. That could be a factor, but he was MAN CITY'S TOP SCORER. AFTER 3/4 SEASONS! He's a beast, Aguero is my new Villa, although, he can never bag those goals.

I think Aguero was a nice bit of buisness, taking advantage of the release clause. Mata has a 52M release, i was thinking about bidding, any ideas? And i don't think its too bad, i would have been able to get him for probably 120-140M, but i just went through due to the excitement of him and Messi playing either side!

Thats a good team attacking wise but you definitely need a new left and right back. I mean how could you play Sagna at right back :O Look at Azpilicueta, De Silvestri or regens for right back and Clichy maybe for left?

Lets see your transfers for each year?

Although to be honest, with Man City's money it's not that hard to buy a dream team, although well done anyway.

Good team mate, however to be fair you're man city... But you took a lot of time posting that onto this site so I'll give it a 9/10 :)

****** ****, over 50 goals in a season for Villa?

Yes sir :) And he was injured for a few :'(

Hmm... I know, Man City is the least challenging, but i've never created a squad like this, its just brilliant and fun to play and beat teams like Hull and Stoke by margins as big as 6-8 goals! I've managed many clubs since i got this game, like QPR. It only gets fun after a few seasons of heartbrake and frustrations. I never really play the game to be realistic and tear my hair out. I play it to see some beautiful football that i have created from the start. But anyway, after a few more seasons, i will probably leave City and sign for a Championship team. At least i can sign Regens now. :) But i know its never challenging or particularly hard to win anything with City. But even some of the greatest sqauds i've seen on this website, cannot match to this standard. The proudest thing of this whole save is the transfer window, in which, i didn't sign a single player. |)

amazing team mae:)

Thanks mate. I've played another season and just use this career for fun :) Might update with the latest members of the sqaud. I have another 100M to spend. oO)

Thanks for commenting :)

how did you get to changed your manager Mental (sorry to sound like **** here) but mine just stays all at 10 :(, also that's a killer squad mate

Villa is mental!!!!!!!!!! best i managed was rvp about 38 goals as advanced forward first season..
How good is my team? (out of 10, 10 being brilliant) - probably 10..
The player you would recommend to sell - barry
The player you would recommend to buy - essien/ yaya/ carrick.. sanogo
How good has my managerial decisions and career been? (out of 10 again) - 7, low because you spent WAY too much money for my liking, but then im a bit of a wenger!! higher because it's clearly worked for you!
What would be the best tactic to play with this sqaud? - don't know really, but you could try getting in a dm or 2 and playing messi on the right, ronaldo in the centre, then maybe gourcuff on the left? playing ronaldo as inside forward/adv playmaker
One question you want to ask me? - How are you going to use fabregas and gourcuff, two players who like to attack having to recycle possesion in the centre, and if i'm allowed another.. how are u going to NOT concede goals or wil u just make up for them by scoring loads!?

Fabregas and Gourcuff actually put in some amazing tackles. I'd compare them to the be the same type of player as Ballack or Huddlestone, giving away some amazing passes and attack options, but also helping the defence and closing down/tackling players. They do get sent off occasionally, especially Gourcuff, but then my team is so flexible, another player can take his place. The answer to your other question - Check out Ales Chaloupka in my defence section, Hes probably the best defender, i've ever seen on this game, in terms of good tackling stats, great speed, age and leadership qaulities.
