Apparently it's just a matter of letting Mourinho walk now, next season will be a good year in Spain. Mourinho will get in, sell the likes of Marcelo, Drenthe, VDV and buy in some of his own, probably someone like Essien.

i know essien is top of his list, i can see him leaving but obviously dont want him to. we have proved over the last few seasons we can with silverwere without essien, but i dont want him to leave, i know he has a good relationship with the fans so hopefully that will play a big part in him staying.

Sucks to be Pellegrini, I think he did a good job staying as close to Barcalona as he did all season and with a completely new squad and a new manager it was always going to be hard but to be honest he must have known he was getting sacked whatever happened.

I thought lamps or gerrard where top of his list :D

Predictable enough, I can't see Mourinho failing with huge financial backing to be honest.

i can see this going wrong. Mourinho doesn't like to be told which players he is getting. Just look at shevchenko. He doesnt care about reputation. If he didn't want you, you wont play. And in spain, madrid in particular, the managers have little say on the final deals. I bet noone asked pellegrini if he wanted benzema, kaka or ronaldo. Sure some of them are no brainers but as has been seen before at madrid, a team full of superstars doesnt always mean a superstar team. Madrid are and always will be about the marquee signing and dont think about systems or team building. Mourinho is the exact opposite. He's a tactician.
