Confirmed on SSN now that both Werder Bremen and Real Madrid have confirmed a fee, and Özil is set to move within the next few days.

This effectively ends speculation linking him to both Manchester United and City.

What do you think about this? I'm pretty sure a lot of you will be disappointed.

Mesut Özil (10.15.1988, Gelsenkirchen) stops in the Real Madrid on merit after becoming one of the revelations of the World Cup. Despite his youth, he was only 21 years has won for its progression and quality of a hole in the German senior squad after being Champion European Under-21 last year. With a very personal, great individual skills, excellent ball handling and ability to provide the final pass to playmaker Germany become one of the most obvious promise of European football. In his resume, they also highlight a German Cup and German Super Cup.

Always evolving over his four seasons at the highest level has made its mark of elegant and versatile midfielder. The move by the team Werder Bremen and Schalke source-04 have set this young German midfielder. Expert in the last pass, his movements between the lines and exquisite left leg out among its virtues. In 2005 he joined the ranks of Schalke 04 to make the jump to the first team a season later and debuted in the Bundesliga with 17.

In January 2008, the midfielder joined the market in winter by Werder Bremen, the club which has achieved its greatest successes as a professional. In the past two seasons has played over 60 games and has scored 13 goals, establishing itself as a cornerstone of the German team. His record has a German Cup (2008-2009) and German Super Cup (2009). Personally, good start in the 2009 season he was awarded the distinction of being the best player of the first phase of the Bundesliga.

Özil leads the next generation of the German team. Despite his Turkish origin, his whole life to national teams has been linked to Germany. He always played in the lower grades from Germany. Since the sub-17 to U-21, where he managed to swell their record European 2009 held in Sweden. A great performance in the final of that championship, contributing two assists and scoring a goal, sealing his passport to the senior team.

His debut with the selection dates back to August 12, 2009, at a meeting in which Germany defeated Azerbaijan in Baku. He played a great level four qualifying matches for World Cup, the prelude to the tournament that made brilliant. He was one of the architects of the Teutons third place in South Africa and FIFA as included in the list of 10 candidates to win the World Cup Golden Ball. Its global summary can be seen in the only goal he scored in the competition. A beautiful left-footed volley from outside the area to Ghana, which gave the pass to the second round Löw's team.

Sums it up.

**** SAKE, I bet it was like 12million such a bargain. **** sake i really wanted him at utd

dont understand this signing what so ever, with the likes of Kaka, Van der Vaart, Samir (German guy) to name a few in their midfield already, Ozil will be wasted there. United have missed out here

Such a good young talent, hopefully he is heavily included at Madrid, it would be such a waste otherwise.

A bad move for Bremen in my opinion. Won't find many players better that are interested in joining.

Way too many midfielders now, unless they sell Gago and Lass.

Alonso should come back to liverpool :)

Surprised Barca weren't chasing him, great player for Iniesta to teach, good luck to him, glad he's not coming to the Premiership though he'd get battered.

Let's hope he doesn't go the same way as Benzema has done.

What? Benzema is a great striker, he might have had a slow season but is only 22, give him a chance!

Diego is supposedly going back to Bremen from Juve, 10-15 Million is better than nothing which they would of got if they held out another year.

If that's true it's certainly good news for them, I used to watch a lot of Bundesliga while he was there and he was an absolute animal for them.

its easy to say united missed, but could we really have competed against their wages?

if you want BIlly I have it put into English
