no offence to the lad, he is on course to be a world talent but would i have him in the starting 11 over Scholes, no chance the way Scholes is playing at the moment.

my only concern is that Scholes isn't getting any younger and can he play like he has been last two games throughout the whole season? i'd love him too but i doubt it. Ozil could and would have learnt so much from Scholes it's unreal.

why hate madrid? he had a choice. he could have gone to united if he wanted to

I just hate Madrid. I can hate teams, they've turned Benzema into trash since his move there, i hope they don't do the same to Ozil, he's not gaurenteed a first team place.

****, ManU will remember and regret this crying, that they didn't bid more for him.

Great bargain for Madrid, decent deal for Bremen considering that his contract was running out.

Dunno what you lot are on about with the too many midfielders comments. You make it sound as if they'd all be competing for the same position which is nonsense especially since the market hasn't even closed yet. Lass Diarra looks more than certain do be a backup for the RB position by now, as shown in some of their latest friendly matches. Kaká will be out injured for the 1st part of the season. They only have a 26 man squad which is less players than most PL clubs have. Leon, Canales (rumor has it that he'll be loaned back out to Racing for this season), Granero, M. Diarra, Gago, Van der Vaart are most likely to be subs and i wouldn't be surprised if 1 or 2 of those were bound to leave Madrid. Which leaves Xabi Alonso, C. Ronaldo, Khedira, Özil, Dí Maria and Kaká once he's fit again. So basically a good 1st team with decent backup.

i understand that, i dont like them myself but you make it sound like hes' some naive victim of them. surely he must know the risk of joining such a club

Yes Real can win it definately. Did you see Inter make Messi look like a fool? He never got a sniff against Inter in the CL.

Mourinho knows what he's doing, excellent manager.

True, nicely said. Jose is undoubtedly the best manager in the world currently. I am pretty sure he knows exactly what to do to win the title this season.

I suppose your right, if a offer came along for you from Real Madrid you wouldn't turn it down. But with him being so young, if he's not getting first team football it could effect his developement. No doubt about it, he's a great player and should get into the Madrid team, but i don't see anybody getting dropped.

thinkyou're missing the fact that players like gago and van der vaart dont want to sit on the bench again. lass is good enough to get into virtually any team as a dmc, and hes a man not to sit on the bench at any club (as proved at chelsea and arsenal) particularly for a position tha'ts not even his favoured one

i see where you are coming from but he follows the game as a player he must what they're like. must also know where he is as a player, and hopefully he has smart people around him who have his interests at heart. the one good thing i can say is that mourhino is in charge, and he doesnt bring in players for no reason, so he should be ok

Just comforts me score i put down on Real Madrid to win the treble at a tasty 33/1 :D

I've never known Mourhino to make a player unhappy, and i suppose he's never brought a player that has got no change of getting into his team, i think we will see alot more of Ozil, hopefully in the English leagues on season, but NOT with City <)

Does this now signal the end of Kaka at Real Madrid? I'm sure the rumours will be flying.

Amazing signing for Real Madrid, Jose seems to be buying smart, very odd for Real.

I do realize that. I think Lass is a great player as well although his recent performances were below average and others like VdV don't want to leave the club because they want to try to establish themselves there, but pretty much every top team has players sitting on the bench that would be good enough to be part of the starting line-up in most teams so i can't really see it as a valid argument.

Top signing .. thought he would sign for man united

van der varrt wants to stay but he also said he wont accept being on the bench again. same with gago, and we've seen first hand lassana's views. so it is a valid argument

well i guess that saves united from selling him to madrid 5 years down the line...

Fergie, get Lass, Alonso or van der Vaart (or all 3)

Highly doubt Alonso would join Man United, if not for the fact he doesn't like the club for the fact he went to Real Madrid because he wanted to leave England.

Good signing for Real Madrid but they need to have another clear out now. Far too many midfielders at the club.

And what about Canales & Kaka. They only play one AMC...
Well Canales could be sent on loan, and won't expect too much playing time I don't think. But I'm stumped on the other two, they can't even play them out of position, because those positions are full too

I'm sure Mourinho prefers 4-3-3 or 4-4-2?
at inter he was playing 4-2-3-1, here i reckon it will be the same, but with the left winger a bit more withdrawn
