Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is on a collision course with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson as he plots to ****** Inter striker Mario Balotelli from under his nose.

Sky Sport Italia report Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola met Ferguson in Amsterdam - home to his player agency office - to stage progressive talks for the hitman.

United are prepared to table €35 million, and offer the striker €5m per annum in wages - substantially more than what he takes at Inter.

However, despite a strong interest from Manchester City, it's Mourinho who is scratching the surface for his former pupil.

Goal.com Italia claims the coach could entice Balotelli to Madrid, with the player likely to grasp the idea of playing with Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo with enthusiasm.

Balotelli though has had a long history of volatile behaviour under Mourinho.

The two men had a number of problems whilst at Inter, with Mourinho excluding his man from six matches last term - leading to doubts the Italian will embrace a reunion.

On Monday coach Rafael Benitez said Balotelli is "an important player" when asked about his future.

Goal.com...... What do these writers do? Sit around making up mental **** like this.

Mourinho and Baloteli did not get on. Why would he spend money on taking him to Madrid.

Waste of time them writing this article

I personally don't believe that Sir Alex would offer £30m+ then a £100k p/w contract to Balotelli, however he did buy Berbatov so anything is possible..

If it's a waste of time writing this article, why did you make a thread on it?

Anyway, don't want him. He'd screw up the morale of the team and we don't need him.

Knew sombody would say that!

Just dont see why Goal.com even bother with the stuff.

Who do you need then?

We need a creative midfielder like Sneijder or Ozil. Not necessarily those players, but players like them who can control the game from an attacking perspective, not some rebel teenager who thinks he's the best in the world because he can smash a free kick in from 40 yards out.

I cant see Ferguson wanting the hassle if he starts acting big time like at Inter. Hes known form getting rid of those sorts of players, not buying them in.

What budget do you think United will have to work with though?

I don't know, but the numbers being chucked around are ridiculous. £35M on a trouble maker that wouldn't start?

We probably have about £40-50M left, after the signings of Smalling and Hernandez but I don't think he'll want to spend it all on one player.

1. We will never pay 35M for someone who is known as dressing room cancer.
2. No way he will be paid 5M per year. We have too many stars who produce goods week in week out but pocket very less than that.
3. No way Jose wants to work with Balotelli again. He will never sign him.

We only have the money there if Fergie says he definitely wants to sign a player, he wont be taking any £20m gambles anymore. If we do buy somebody it will be a well known, and consistent performer.

I could see him going to Man City, they have the money, wages and Mancini who worked with Baloteli before at Inter

I would love Super Mario in the prem, he is a beast.

Even if he acts like a **** in the dressing room, I think SAF would be able to control him.

I think Sir Alex would be able to control him, but why spend £35M on a player that you will have to mould for 2-3 years, for the manager to then retire and the player to have to settle in all over again with a brand new manager (which will probably end up being Mourinho).

But you used to have someone quite similar to that, and thankfully, Real Madrid paid an insane amount of money to take the problem child off your back. Remember? (I kid, I kid :P )

Difference is that he was the best in the world.

Ferguson moulded him for 3 years and then man managed him for 2 years before selling him for £80M.
If he signed Balotelli, he's not going to be at Manchester United for 3 more years, meaning he'd have to mould him and then leave in the middle of it. Then another manager would come in, and Balotelli would become a problem all over again.
