A thumping 5-0 win over Bournemouth, was nice to see Ryan Bertrand on the scoresheet. Closer than the scoreline says but the lads were clinical eating up any chance that was given to them.

Through to the next round of the JP Trophy. Djalo made the Charlton defence look like a joke scoring 4 goals. Yannick has had a huge impact since coming back from his injury.

attachment.php

A close game lucky to win as in attack we weren't at our best. Djalo got his 10th goal of the season as he scored the winner to take the points. Onuoha was injured and will miss 3 weeks.

Another big win as the high scoring Saints keep their winning streak alive. Verratti scored a beautiful 30 yarder but his game ended soon after as he went off injured and will miss the next 6 weeks.

The 1st dropped points of the season as we were out played by Peterbrough and were lucky to draw. Miles Addison smashed home from 30 yards as he continues to impress. Disappointing to concede a late equalizer.

Back with a bang a great win despite Captain Campbell missing due to being suspended for his 5th yellow. Conway scored a wondergoal curling the ball into the back of the net from 30 yards. Postiga started for the 1st time in a while and took his chance as Traore is lacking goals. Garvan played immense providing 3 assists.

6-0 couldnt of played better Addison stayed in defence as Campbell was sent to the bench to make room for an impressive of late Owen Garvan who ended the game with a goal. Best defensive performance of the season.

Review

Top of the league and the Saints are making it look easy. Ryan Bertrand and Yannick Djalo are already club favourites. Djalo is already top scorer in the league scoring 13 goals in 11 games. The squad have been scoring with ease with 43 goals from open play, the rest have come from the spot, corners and freekicks. Southampton's cleaned up with the award Player of the Month award went as following..... 1st Djalo, 2nd Addison and 3rd Garvan. Young Player of the Month..... 1st Bertrand, 2nd Addison and 3rd Garvan. Djalo came 2nd in Goal of the Month and Casey was 2nd in Manager of the Month. Saints fans will be happy to hear that Verratti signed a 3 year contract on his 17th birthday this month worth £1m. 3 deals with Southampton players were made this month as Casey looks to offload the unneeded, Harding join Coventry for £160k, Lambert will join Norwich for £1.1m and Seaborne will join Gillingham for £275k. These will leave the club in January.

No real Saints fan was looking for a new club to support. You support one club and one club only.

There wasn't going to be a Southampton F.C. It would have been AFC Southampton or some plastic rip off like MK Dons did to Wimbledon. Support one club only? How many users do you see that support more than one club? So what happens if your team goes 'out of business', who do you support if your only allowed to support one team? Or do you just give up on football?

considering ending this due to the easy nature , seem to be winning game after game by 3 or more goals i would rather a hard challenge like Palace so i may close this or i may ask to change tittle etc and turn it into a Palace story very unsure though

I'm thinking of flying through this season and doing a season review saying who impressed who has improved etc
