yes the game will still work but it all depends if you think your comp/laptop will take it. the bigger player amount the slower the game

I would recommend not using half a star, and try to keep it to one star but then, if I took my laptop as an example, it's limited and you won't get many players or it won't be that good.

I'm playing as half a star and I reached 74,000 so I reduced it to 65,000 which was still half a star but it's better than 74,000. And it's not too slow at all, just when starting the game it could take 15 minutes.
