recurring application error

Hello fellow FM addicts.

I've hit a problem here. On Oct 26th 2016, My save encountors a serious error and has to close. Tried it a few times and it's always at this date on this save. My gut feeling is that this save has finally given up and kicked the bucket.

Anyone know if there is anything I can do or should I just mourn the loss and move on?

I found a fix for my problem so if anyone is having something similar, try this.

OPen Steam, right-click FM13 and click properties, Local files and 'verify integrity of Game Cache'
It told me I was missing 3 files (off flirting with the USB ports again I suspect) so steam re-downloaded them again.

Hey presto, problem fixed and I'm now continuing my FA cup run.
