Removing The Sticky Threads and Letting People Have Feedback?

Personally i think its pretty sad that people need to be told what tactics to download,or what player to buy,or the best one,What team shall i be? I mean come on,if you dont have the ability to choose a team or have your scouts search for a player then you might as well not bother.

As it is people are going to post these constantly so the stickied threads where brought in so i for one don't have to wade through mountains of threads asking if Dzeko is a good player or which ****** team from the BSP should i start with,here is a poll to help you choose. If you dont like then post your drivel on the SI forums,im sure they will love you for it.

Jp just made me change my views, the other day i saw a few threads asking stuff like, player for league 2, i posted links in all 5 of them and its a pain, the mods job is very hard, show them a little respect

You can either use the SEARCH THREAD tool located at thee top of the thread,or you can choose the VIEW MY POSTS option located on the toolbar,easy,im sure even you can do that if you concentrate.

Im actually thinking of giving you your very own stickied thread FFT,then you can put all the many many things that annoy you about this site in one neat tidy thread instead of starting multiple whinge threads like you are doing.

Nah, i was over-reacting. It just keeps annoying me all these closed threads really give a negative look, and the threads with over 10 pages of posts that i just cannot be bothered to go through. And, even some good threads have been redirected or closed.. I'm not sure, maybe we could re-release the sticky threads so they start with no posts? It puts me off with the high amount of posts, and i can never find anyone's reply to my questions. XD

well, it is inevitable that the pages will keep stacking cos everyday, there would be fellow members asking for help. tbh, i think it that reading the 10 pages actually do help cos some of the questions were already posted by others as well. in fact, we might also find additional information which might turn out beneficial and thus we would not double post. it just requires a bit of patience and time. besides, it wont take long

Lol thats a bit harsh, isnt that the whole point in the FM community, from your sig even you yourself have posted tactics, were you just merely backing it up or were you sharing it so people could download it

After seeing about 30 closed threads in 2 pages of this forum. I thinks it just better to scrap all the threads (the sticky ones) in the forum such as "Looking For A Player Thread" etc.

More and more people are making threads like "CB for QPR?" and without feedback, it will be closed. Its annoying and frustrating getting a thread closed, and seeing everyone elses closed isn't too good of a feeling either. Its just a thought. Any feedback is accepted..

Your never seem to be satisfied with the forum, no one else is complaining, yes there is room for improvement but that is the same with everything, sometimes you just got to accept the current system and get on with it as it work for most people.

Exactly my thoughts. The Sticky's are there for the regular members benefit and to help new members find what they want easily. It's not our job to advise people who they can sign,what tactics to use...Just because we run the site does not mean we are fm gods.

The problem is..most of the people posting these threads either...never come back,are new to forums and have no patience and just fire right in there.

Likewise not trying to cause an argument, but it's kind of the same, as it will still have the same outcome of people helping you decide who to buy or sell out of players. Deal or No Deal is just another of saying Buy or Sell really if you think about it

Im not saying downloading tactics is wrong,im saying having to start a thread to ask which one they should use is.People can easily go to the tactics download section and read about them,read the feedback and decide for themselves if its right for them or not,they can even just download it and try it,is it going to take all day to give it a go? No. People start these threads for one reason and one reason only,laziness.

I answer dozens of PMs every week requesting tactical help,so its not as if im refusing to help people.

On most of these threads, people do get feedback. I always try and put something of use on there whether it is some advice or a link to somewhere that might help. Others do the same. By the time they have closed, there are usually 5 or 6 comments on there to help the person.

I can see both sides to this debate. Yes you have people who are willing to take some time to search through stuff to find the answers but we are now in a world where people want answers straight away to their questions especially if they are playing the game and dont have time to sift through the stickies.

Some threads are ridiculous as they could have spent less time going on to the 'Player Search' in the game and found a player there.
