Replacing Mourinho

Manchester United , once viewed as the greatest footballing intuition in the world under the tutelage of the Legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson for 27 years , has been turned into a laughing stock of world football since he left in 2013 , they have went through 5 managers if you include caretakers in 5 years but that was always going to be the case when Fergie left due to the length of time he reigned over the club. When Fergie was in charged he had total control over the club from transfers to training even had his hands in the youth team he controlled everything from top to bottom. When Fergie announced his retirement he endorsed the then Everton Manager to take over the reigns and the optimism at the club was high , Fergie had handpicked Moyes himself for the job and given the good job he had done at everton working under budget restraints he had built up a reputation of being a shrewd operator.

David Moyes

David Moyes , The Prodigy I would say , hand picked by Fergie to take over when he retired , previously at everton he had worked under a tight budget there and still managed to be competitive and qualify for europe , he took over officially on the 1st July 2013 and was relived of his duties on the 22nd April 2014 with United sitting 7th in the table with 57 points from a possible 102. His overall record was played 51 , won 27 , drew 9 and lost 15 , scoring 86 goals and conceding 54 and a win ratio of 52.94 winning the Community sheild on the way. In his short time in charge David Moyes brought in a few players including Marouane Felliani , Saido Janko , Guillermo Varela and Juan Mata for £64.6m

Pre Season

Staff

View attachment 26516

At the start of every save i usually follow the same sort routine , get through the inbox, have a look at the depth of the squad, analyse the weak points , plan my signings(more on this later). I then move onto my staff , now Manchester Uniteds coaching staff was bits and pieces with jobs available i set upon this task like I always did , I brought in some better fitness coaches and goalkeeping coaches and some overall general coaches that specialise in defending , tactical and technique and then Marco Van Basten as my assistant.

Transfers

View attachment 26515

In terms of transfers I made a few changes , when you look on the surface of the united team , they had great and talented players but were playing under a bad system so the transfers i made filled in some holes I found in the team. First signing i made was Keiran Tierney , as a Rangers fan myself it pains me to say but he is most definetly one of the most talented player Scotland has so I made a deal with Celtic to bring him down south and I am confident him and Shaw (if he can overcome his injury problems) can battle it out for the starting left back spot.

Secondly I brought in Matthijs Di Ligt (I know I know predicable) he is 19 years old and will be my starting CB with Baily and Smalling rotating.

Thirdly was Thomas Partey the system I intend on deploying requires a Box to Box midfielder who will run up and down all day and Partey fits that bill and for 14m i couldn't turn it down.

Andrija Zivkovic is the 4th signing I made he is a young gun who will be deployed on the right side of midfield and will be whipping balls into the box for the strikers or cutting inside and smashing in goals all over.

Lastly was Yann-Aurel Bisseck he is a signing for the future and will be a rotation option at CB.

I let leave Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian , Victor Lindelof and Jesse Lingard who were all surplus to requirements in my system and I made a total of £92 Million selling these guys so that helps cover the costs of my signings making a spend of only 6.8 million.

Tactic

View attachment 26514

Above is the tactic I intend on starting with this season over the season there will be changes made and i will let you guys know of any changes , but this tactic is intent on relentlessly moving the ball and controlling the match , the tempo , the possession.

Next update will be at the end of august. Have a nice night guys and leave some feedback!

Manchester United Vs Southampton

In terms of match stats this game was pretty even and it really just came down to who took them chances , from the start we played the ball really well , keeping possession, moving the ball just the way I planned. 13 minutes into the game our movement and control of the ball caused Southampton to make a mistake in the box cause a penalty that was dispatched by Martial, second goal came in the 52nd minute when Fred picked the ball up outside the box and dispatched a shot that hit in off the post. Third and finally Rashford in the 72nd minute her scored to round off the game from a cross from Martial he beat the defender at the near post and calmly slotted it past the keeper first time. In the 74th minute Southampton scored from a ball over the top , my defenders fell asleep allowing Danny Ings to cross the ball in and Nathan Redmond nodded home.

Cardiff vs Manchester United

This game was a tricky one, Pre Game my assistant told me to switch my approach from positive to Cautious , I decided against that and went positive and it paid off , in the 18th minute a loose high ball was brought down by Martial , he drove into the box and smartly slotted the ball past the keeper with ease. In the 29th minute of the game we had a corner , it was whipped into the box and Chris Smalling rose the highest of everyone to nod home which turned out to be the decisive goal of the game as nobody else scored and we didn't really have any other chances.

Manchester United vs Brighton and Hove Albion

This Game in particular was the worst out of the 3 games , it took until the 71st minute for the first highlight of the game , Thomas Partey popped up at the edge of the box and smashed home the winning goal as we kept 3 for 3 and went top of the league.

Competitions

View attachment 26498

Exactly where we want to be and where we want to stay for the foreseeable, 3 for 3 but not really taking on any of the bigger teams so really we haven't been tested as of yet and can't wait to see how we do.

The draw for the group stage took place and we have managed to draw Real Madrid, Schalke 04 and Young boys , at this point I am confident we can make it through this group, all we need to do is beat Schalke and young boys and get a result against Madrid.

As you can see we have drawn Wigan in the next round and i am confident of us getting through to the the next round using a bit part squad.
