Retiring players

i have two players in my Hibs squad Kanu and Iversen who where shrewd free transfers i must add!

the have both announced to retire at the end of "next season" and are no longer in my first team plans

when i try and sell for free or loan them no-one will make an offer

they take up a combined £15,000 p/w in wages which for an SPL team has to go to good use

any suggestions on how to get rid of them????

Try offering them a new contract but dont offer them as a player, offer them a staff role, like coach/youth coach/scout.

Thats what i did for a few of my players.

you cannot do anything about it, they will retire once they have reached their set retirement dates, use them while you still can as they are not going anywhere

i am not sure if you can terminate their contracts either... try it, see what happens

thanks thought about the coaching role they where not interest

as for keeping them i have 5 good forwards aside from them!! mayb bitting the bullet and realsing them is best
