March and April 2012 Update:

Going to try do something here. Instead of doing single month updates I will do one every 2 months and will show results of games rather than the games themselves. Any special matches(europe/cup finals etc will have full screenshots and analysis. It will just help me get through the matches a bit quicker. If people dont like it i will revert back to the old formula but right now i think theres too many screenshots...

What a month for me and the team. After a poor ending to last season we looked like we would struggle to cement a European place. The team have finally blended and are used to the tactic and it shows from an amazing 8 wins from 9 games. We slipped up once against lowly opposition and the main problem was over confidence. That being said I cant fault the players after their performances which have also guaranteed us a day out and our first Cup Final. We are closing in on the top of the table thanks to Delczegs goals. In our 2nd game this month Hadzic was sidelined for a hamstring problem which would see him out for 6 weeks.

April:

More of the same this month as we capatalised on our form and have jumped to the top of the league on goal difference with only 2 games to go. Diaby has been crucial this month and 5 goals in 6 games is an impressive return from the striker. We also got a good chance of maing our second cup final after running away with a 3-1 advantage in the first leg. Could we have a cleen sweep of trophies this year? I realy hope so :)

League Cup Final:

A great game for the fans. We knew it would be hard against defending champions Paks but 2 superb goals from Tchami seen us through. The second goal was a real poachers effort when the scores were deadlocked in injury time. After the game the fans went wild and they have already started dreaming on how the club can progress from here. Our finishing was far superior to Paks and it was a shame it took till injury time to secure the win. But as always a win is a win and the boys would be going home happy :)

Doing really well and I much much much much prefer the new format, makes it easier to follow and I find it easier to get into the story.

May Update:

What a way to wrap up our season. We were in great form and topped off our season by adding th Hungarian Cup and also the League title to our earlier League Cup to complete a famous treble and became the first Hungarian Club to achieve the feat. Porachi had a great month again and scored twice this month and also made 2 assists. The on loan star has stated his desire to join the club permenantly when his loan spell ends in December. The boards and Fans went wild after the season ended but I was already planning for next season. I wouldnt be letting many players leave as I want a big squad but I would be bringing in plenty of young talent.

Youth Academy prospects 2012:

Laszlo is our only real star this year and with 4* potential I expect the lad to have a bright future. The other 2 arent worth writing home about but they may be kept on for a few years for the b team and back up but I dont expect much from them. I wasnt really pleased with the youth intake and a day after the season finished I asked the board to expand the youth facilities. They said they would consider this and get back to me about it.

Board Announcements:
Board are estatic with the teams form this season.
Sebes job is untouchable
Sebes signs a new 4 year contract on £1,100 a week
Youth facilities to be expaned at a cost of £950,000.
Partnership announced with Shakatar. Shakatar would have first refusal on our players and in return we have options to sign Skaktar players on loan for free.
2 new sponsorships signed which increase the pot from 400k to 625k.

Board expect a title challenge next season but dont expect progress past the 3rd qual round of the Champions league. To achieve these goals they outine the budget of £350k for player transfers and a £15k a week wage budget.

You did the triple, well done and did you make those kits because they are good?

EDIT: You did make them as you put them in kotw and you've given me a hard time as I really like yours and hermanchides'.
I voted for you last week though.

I know, really didnt expect it because I never expected to win the league :)

Yeah I made the kits, been making kits for about 2 years now.
Thanks very much mate :)

Pre season update in a few hours including all player transfers.

Good luck again and you must have posted just after I made my edit and didn't realise.

Pre season 2012:
The team returned from their end of season break sorrounded by a few new faces. I felt we were lucky to win the league last season but this year I want us to have a more consistency and protect ourselves from injuries. In total 8 players joined the club with only 4 leaving. Porachi has also agreed to join the club permenantly after his loan spell ends in January.

My assistant scheduled 5 games for the pre season and I was pleased with some of my new players impact. 2 wins,2 draws and only one defeat set the team up well for the upcoming European games.

Big fan of this story, did a similar thing in FM10 with Honved but didn't play past the 3rd season. Keep up the good work, and loving that away kit, it's sexy.

Cheers mate. Well even if I cant stay with Honved im going to continue until I get the Hungary job and develop their players. Hoping to get about 10-15 years out of it until fm13 comes out.
Thanks about the kits :)

Update in a little while because im just finishing off some other work

Just read it all, great stuff mate. Always like stories about ''little'' teams in unpopular leagues. KIU

July and August 2012 Update

As you can see we had a busy 2 months fixture wise. The team stuttered in the few opening games of the league but the good thing is we are still undefeated 2 months into the season. Its taking the players time to reach full fitness because were playing so frequently the lads are getting tired. But overall a slow but solid start to the league.

Europe is another story. I thought when we drew Rosenberg we wouldnt make it through to the 3rd round but the lads pulled 2 solid results out of the bag and cemented a place in the next round. The 3rd round was more promising because we knew we would be one of the seeded teams. We had an obstacle to pass by beating Sheriff but we stuck to our game plan and came away with another 2 wins. When we got Lech in the final round I guessed we would get a Europa League place for losing as we didnt stand much of a chance. But the players wouldnt settle for that and came away with another 2 wins.

Champions League Draw:

I sat in the Boardroom infront of the big screen TV. The chairman Mr Hemmingway occupied the seat beside me. We both had knots in our stomach from the anticipation. We had been here for the past hour. George told me that he knows the quality of the opposition and doesnt expect miracles. I want to win the games but im relieved that he is being realistic too. We both agreed that we want to get at least 2 World Class teams to play against. It would mean more TV revenue and selling more tickets which in turn would help our supporter base and the clubs balance. We are already guaranteed about £10M from UEFA for our stint in the competition which is more that 5 times our turnover last season alone. The room falls silent as the first names are drawn out of the hat.

In the blink of an eye the draw is over and I sit in disbelief at what I see. We were to face German Champions Bayern Munich, English and European Champions Man City and Scottish giant Rangers. I knew I wanted 2 top teams but the grin on my face shows how pleased i am with the 3 opponents. The Bayern Match will be a great day for the fans.

League Table:

Its a bit dissapointing to be sitting 6th after 2 months but were not far off the leaders and we are still undefeated so that gives us hope. 2 wins and 4 draws is ok by my watch and in truth we were unlucky not to win 2 more of the 6 games. Its a solid start and the players are starting to hit full fitness which gives me optimism.

Player of the month:
View attachment 273269
Well Eden Hadzic sure has been on form so far. The lad looks sharp since coming back from holidays and has been doing well in training also. It couldnt be anybody else for my best player after the striker scored 12 goals and 5 assists in only 11 games. Im hoping he can stay injury free this year as he struggled with fitness last season.

2 updates tonight, should get me into the new year. Wont be for a few hours yet though :)

90% Domestic players policy has gone out of the window and if Gulacsi is available what happens to the lad from Panama?

I know lol, well they wont be part of my team for long. Main reason iv broung in a few foreigners is becasue the talented Hungarians arent intrested in joining me. I actually tried to bring Gulacsi and Andjoran on loan but they both refused and Spurs bought Gualacsi so hes a non runner for at least 2-3 years. If the option comes up again i will put in a bid for him and the Panamanian(funny) will be either benced or sold.

Hoping that by 2016 I have a full team of Hungarians :)

September and October 2012 update:

September:
Great month except from the Champions League matches. The club have improved their form and kept within a few points of the league leaders and also challenging in both cup competitions. We hope to challenge domestically on all fronts agin this year. Eden Hadzic has been on fire and is a key asset to the team. However I am concerned for my backline as I am currently short on defenders. Hopefully this will be adressed in January. A full back tends to get sent off every other game and this is down to my tactic and not the individual player.

New Signing:

Camara would give us another option up front. The striker arrived on a free transfer and has good potential. Hoping he can ease the burden of goalscoring from Hadzic. Posesses great pace and also a good finisher.

October:

Well what a month this has been, we progress well in both the cups. Our league form is a bit sketchy still but we are still ocntenders at this stage. 0 points in Europe but we have performed well against much bigger clubs like City and Bayern. Star man this month is Porachi who has scored 4 and set up a further 6 goals this month alone. His future transfer already seems like sound business :)
