Now I know there are loads of similar topics, but I think there's some fault with my save (currently in 2011) or something. G Johnson, valued at £4.5m, and Liverpool reject an £18m bid! Rafael's valued at £7m and Ath Madrid have rejected a £40m bid.

First of all, is this normal, and if so, can anyone give me any tips on how to get them for a fairer price without trying to unsettle him or cheat? Or is it likely that there's some fault with my save?

Thanks

Haha, nope, fraid not. 'Tis just the game. Their value isn't necessarily a real representation of their price. Sorry. :(

They can have a low value, but if they are key players in their own teams they are harder to get ;)

hey, chiellini is valued at 15mil on mine, and a 120 million bid wouldnt land him. just the way the cookie crumbles

How important they are to a team is the biggest value upper. If they're indespensible or a hot prospect, you can expect triple or even quadruple the estimated value to be rejected.

Brett Pittman, has a really low price, but Bournemouth are so dependant on him a 500K bid, when he's valued at like 10K won't get him. No way around it.

nothing wrong with your save, this fm's transfers are generally messed up and it's not really new. The fees are silly most of the time. Worst thing is that it's only one-way, you have to pay a fortune for players from other clubs, while you're getting realistic offers (in most cases anyway) for your own players.

I hate the fact that you can't sell your own players for stupid prices but only double there value at most

It is stupid that your own players do not get ridiculous offers coming in. For example, on my Real Madrid save, Cristian Zapata is worth £8.75m and Man City offered me.........£8.75m. I negotiated at £20m - a fair price IMO - and they withdrew :S

its something they are working on, last year you could sell your players for ridiculously high prices, so its better than it used to be, but not quite there yet

How did charlton get that much money?? haha

Yea i hate this aswell i offered porto £22 mil for a 31 year old bruno alves valued at £6.25 mil and it was rejected!!!

And another thing i hate when your trying to get rid of players you dont need anymore and noone bids on him :@ I offered clubs van der vaart for £6 mil and no one accepted him!

You just have to be a master in the transfer market.

Adjust your bids with how important the players are to that team, and depending on their form aswell as how many clubs want that player.

Such as an in form Christan Zapata, described as indespensible, valued at 7.5M. Would have to bid atleast 19M+ to get into the offering a contract stage.

It's totally stupid really. I hope they sort it out, just because someone is instrumental to a team, doesn't mean they won't sell at all. Not only that, but prices for kids are ridiculous, offered £20m for a player who's value was £4m and he was only 16 (wouldn't pay that obviously). It was rejected of course, but in real life, the team would of course accept that for someone who might not even turn out any good.

Also try and add a percentage of next sale, it always helps when your trying to sign a player, i mean, i'm now in 2016 with my Manc, and signed a LB in 2015, his value was only about 21.5 million, but the team wanted 70 million for me, so i offered a bid of 45 million and 20% of the profit from next sale, and the bid was accpected, the players value isn't 45 million even though i signed him for that, it's only 29.5 mil

Well i cant understand something..i sold djourou for 5 mil to dinamo kiev and after only one season he went to napoli for 22 mil!and one more think..i tried to get fabio to my team for 20 mil they reject me...and after 2-3 days juventus bought him for only 7!!!!

Update on the G. Johnson negotiations: they wanted £48.5m plus Alexis Sanchez for him! I eventually managed to get them to budge to £36m plus Sanchez, but **** that! No chance!

Probably a long shot, but is there any way to sort the transfer problem out in the data editor?

I also forgot to mention that his contract runs out at the end of the season and his valuation is £4m.

i hate it when clubs do this :( i remember on fm 09 wenger wanted 98 mil for carlos vela :O

They sometimes base it around their value when they reach their full potential or peak. And sometimes the value doesn't mean much since it's based on recent form and reputation.
