Whats the basic difference between Box to Box and roaming midfielder as both can go forward to attack and back to defend and has support duty only?
 
RPM does more on the ball, BBM does more off the ball.

Pretty much. Both have support duties, so will keep up with play. BBM will make late runs into the box though, whereas the RPM won't. Since the RPM is a playmaker, he'll be drawn more to the ball and teammates will actively seek him out. Think of the RPM as a more aggressive regista.
