Today was both a shock to not just the football world, but also the music industry. Pop icon Robbie Williams has always let people know of the fact that he is a Port Vale fan but hasn't followed them as much as he would like to and he would admit that due to his illustrious music career. However, today Williams led a consortium into buying Port Vale Football Club and has ploughed over £150 million into the club.
As his first call of duty, Williams has removed Micky Adams from his post as manager stating that he would like an avid Vale fan to take the helm. He has also announced that Bill Bratt will stay at Vale Park as Chairman. Williams's involvement with the club and the self proclaimed Port Vale revolution has urged Italian superstar Roberto Mancini to join the club as Assisstant Manager.
Robbie also announced in his first press conference that he aims to launch Vale into the Premiership and make them a household name within 5 years.
 
Or if you were good like me you wouldn't need £150Million to do this :)

yh good luck, but i agree theres putting money in, then theres going a bit too far, soz to be a downer, but i've funnelled lots of money into small teams, it ruins llm, but all the same keep us posted. I'll be following

Who did you bring in as the consortium? Just random names or did you choose some of his friends? Cus Robbie isn't rich enough to buy a team and put £150M in himself...

New Port Vale owner Robbie Williams and chairman Bill Bratt got together yesterday and after sieving through many applicants found their man. Life long Valiants fan Daniel Oakes was today announced Port Vale manager and he will take his first game in charge against AFC Telford next week. It is understood that Vale now have a growing reputation with not only Robbie Williams but also Roberto Mancini connected with the club.
 
no offence but wtf. giving urself 150mil then giving yourself roberto mancini as assman? lol do it the real mans way and **** editing :)
 
im a bit bored with this actually its not even a challenge and i need to get my teeth stuck into a challenge i might start a lower league one and without a ludicrous amount of money

nah thats kl m8.. i suggest a team like AFC wimbledon or Accrington Stanley im Accrington atm :) its tough but im just off the play offs :)
 
No I dont think ppl would mind cause there's a challenge, there's easy, there's cheating to make it really easy and then theres giving a low team 150mil and an assistant manager thats won the serie a.
 
i know lol im gonna start unemployed and on sunday league footballer and make the lowest leagues in england available btw do i have to get someone to close this before i do another or can i just start over?

It's a **** idea. The original Robbie Williams take over was an interesting spin-off, but the £150M injection + Mancini as assistant? He may as well just holiday every game.. :S

This would be better if you toned it down by like 1000% :)
