Good on Carlos for leaving the pitch though. Retained his dignity. This is disgusting stuff, but I'm not surprised as such.

Yep, USA>Germany>Italy. Top 3. In next 5 years, France will be there. Shame.

Responded like a gentleman...no big fuss about it....i imagine that he's asking himself why the heck he decided to go play there...

Other day i saw a report on how african exchange students were being abused by russians when studying there.....and i one of the former international portuguese players Abel Xavier also complained about racist comments by his manager and team when palying at Hannover, Germany...So it's indeed a problem in those 2 countries...the question its that we already had a WC in Germany and everything went fine...Would that happen in Russia? I really don't know...

Why are you guys saying German's are racists to players? For christs sake, you can go to jail for 3 years for heiling. They are all extremely careful not to say anything racist because of what's happened in the past.

Who the **** takes a Banana to a football match anyway!? Buy a pie you *****.

1 incident. people are mentioning them as being THE worst.

Im not saying they are the worst, i'm proving you wrong when you said that Germans aren't racist because they can go to jail... that sort of happens in all countries, it doesn't stop racism.

He's the best attacking fullback in the history of football and still rocking quality at 37 (38?)

Screw the racist fruit flingers, he can go home to his mansion and they can go home to their banana storage.

That's not what I said at all oO)

you hinted towards it by saying that Germans are very careful not to be racist... throwing a banana at a black person isn't being very careful at all... every country has racism, it has been happening for centuries, and nothing is going to stop it now.

Yes. Point being? I didn't say NO ONE were racist. Just that there's no way they are the most racist.

Thats just a matter of opinion... there have been plenty of racist events in German football as well as football from England, Spain, Italy... I could probably say that Spain are amongst the worst, the Zaragoza fans throwing peanuts and making monkey sounds at Samuel Eto'o comes to mind.

Another racist incident in Russia, it's a disgrace. And by the way guys saying this happens in Italy, Germany or wherever doesn't take away from the fact it happened in Russia, and it isn't a one off incident.

Imagine the uproar if a fan threw a pie and it landed next to Lampard! The media would have a field day in this country, let alone a racism incident. I'm sorry. but the Russian FA don't do enough to prevent it. Occurances like this and the banner posted earlier about Odemwingie would result in heavy fines, possibly even playing games behind closed doors in England
