Liverpool would have been better off signing this bloke instead of Carroll IMO.

Exactly, he would of cost peanuts and he's a proven goalscorer and target man. I know he hasn't scored that many for Tottenham but I reckon they haven't given him the chance. He would really suit Newcastle. Also, the problem with Tottenham is that they have too many strikers who are good but no world class ones (except from Van Der Vaart if he counts - he's second striker)!

i also rate pav highly, and dont think he has had enough of a chance at spurs. IF we can make it up to the prem this year, id love it if we made a move for him
