Forget about those stars... seriously. If properly used, he can be a truly monster. He always gets me more than 20 goals and more than 20 assists per season.
For some reason he was horrible, in my humble opinion, in fm 2011, but in 2012 he's one of the greatests!
Hes 29 - He was out for 5 months for a broken ankle last season, and has similar injuries a few times, maybe that has something to do with it?
Just find it strange that Hernandez is 4 stars and Rooneys just useful!!!

From what I've heard Hernandez is insanely good on FM12 so don't be too surprised, Rooney is still good though I imagine as he is usually at least one of the top 5 goalscorers in the prem on my games for a good few seasons.
i wouldn't worry about his star rating .. i'm in 2019/20 season he's 33 and still playing well with his 3 star rating ... if i went by that he is my 4th best striker but by goals assists and form he is still my 2nd best behind Carlos Fierro mind you
