The real Arsenal are still in the game but you start off as royal Arsenal in the npower championship. You will have no back room staff or player you will have £100million to win the npower championship with a wage budget of £20million.You play at the Olympic Stadium but the club dont own it but the club dont own it. The challenge is to better Arsenal in the amount of trophies they have got. Win the Npower championship and it will be one of many hopefully.Can you better Arsenal and get more trophies than them by the time you retire? Please share your progress with everyone on this forum.

Is there a database included or are the participants expected to go and create their own team and plunk them into the championship?!

Personally, If anyone is interested in a challenge like this I would just refer to the FC United of Manchester challenge, pretty much the same but doesn't involve any database editing. And quite frankly is more challenging.
