Let me picture you the scene.

I have just finished the 1st season with Ajax, and I have 10.5m with room for more to spend. I can get either of them, with Romero being slightly cheaper and better ATM, but will Neves be better in the future?

Neves - 14.75m - 2* CA, 5* Black PA
Romero - 12.25m - 4* CA, 5* Black PA
 
If you need the tactic roles that I play, just ask me. :)
 
Romero is awesome for me. Not had Neves but for 12.25 million Romero can do everything
 
By the way, Romero would require over 3x my highest wage (45k...) so I'm more inclined to Neves now, and Neves will be 1st team, considering the best CDM I have is 2.5* CA. :p
 
I would go for Romero if he you need a defensive/ball winner or Neves if you need a DLP/Roaming playmaker type, just my view
 
Thanks guys, I ended up signing Romero perm and hoping to get Neves on loan. :)
 
Both are amazing...
I had them in many saves,awesome midfielders
I would go for Neves,despite being younger and lower CA,he always ended up as a World Claass midfielder...
If you want to make profit,buy Romero...
In my Ajax save i sold him to PSG for 70m€,2nd season,he becamed unhappy
My midfield trio was letal:Neves(DM)-Gil Romero(CM) and Tielemans(CM)

I have both in my Porto starting 11 plus Rafinha plays in front of them as a playmaker.

Together they produce ~30 tackles per game.
